Exsecratum - Aditus

Coldness from the North - 88%

Strid, September 10th, 2003

From Brescia come Exsecratum , a young Black Metal band at its debut into the underground scene with "Aditus", a demo of all respects. Since from the graphic aspect, with the nice artwork done by Lord Azazel, to the music proposed, primordial and cold black Metal in the veins of the best Scandinavian acts, the band shows its will to act in all seriousness.
The band plays, as said above, primordial black metal, and this word should be all to you to understand what you can ear here! The guitar of Holocaust plays cold riffs supported by the constant and obsessive drums of Amok and the vocals of Lord Azazel complete this picture with their croaking sound, so much influenced by the mighty Abbath. The lyrics are inspired by the obscure nature of mountains and woods, and paint the landscapes in which the band members love to spend their time. My favorite songs are "Wandering sons of the obscure throne (Made by hate)", the best of the entire demo, and "A breezing vision of damnation", obsessive and hypnotic song with so much evocative potential. At the end, a good group to support absolutely !! Heil Exsecratum !!
