Fuckin' Nightmare

What can really be said about Verpus from Exmortes? That he's an idiot? That he's totally incompetent as a musician, a vocalist, and a composer? That he's buddies with Apator who's also one of the worst "musicians" out there? These can all sum him up. He's likely one of the worst performers in metal that I have heard of, and his EP Fuckin' Nightmare is likely the most inept thing that could ever be classified as "metal". Hell, I think that this verges more on noise than anything else. It's trying to be black metal, but it's too impotent and retarded to be anything other than semi-metallic noise. I've heard better material on crappy demos that are older than this and from impoverished countries. This one-man-band's EP is an example of a musician suffering from total mental bankruptcy.

I don't think this guy even knows how to play any of his instruments. I can even hear through the positively abysmal and static-loaded production how bad this guy is. His guitar skills amount to static chords and strumming out something so out-of tune I can't even call it a riff. There's no rhythm to this at all and it just sounds like a mess. He can't even keep his drums on time. Verpus can't even carry a beat and just bangs on them like a caveman when he wants to go fast. His vocals are also laughably unconvincing. For somebody trying to be evil, his vocals have just slightly more intensity than someone talking. Just listen to "Boiling Blood" and hear him shout about "BLAAAAAD". He puts no effort in and ends up sounding like a dolt. I don't have much more to say about this EP since it's so brain-dead on every level. I can say that it is likely the single most inept thing I've ever heard passed off as metal. The instrumentation is so bad that there are probably third graders out there who can write better music than this. The production is so bad that static makes up half the sound on this thing. There is also nothing even remotely engaging on here, it's completely and utterly boring.

The only exceptional thing about this EP is simply how inept and impotent it is. We are talking about a total lack of anything that makes this worth unearthing. There's no musical value or ability on display here. There's nothing that's even comically bad on here. All that you get out of this is a boring, slogging, display of ineptitude. There is nothing to see, other than just how agonizingly bad someone can play. This is the limit, this is peak ineptitude. I can barely even think of a way that this could be worse. I guess it could be annoying or painful, but even then I'd at least get some stimuli out of this. Learn how to play, you dunce!
