When the first time I saw their artwork cover, I was immediately interested to hear this band. There must be elements of Bali in this stuff. As what I thought, after having heard the opening track : "Trance Elixir". The Balinese theme with epic composition will make you feel like on tourist vacation in Dewata island. Although the keyboard remind me about wedding dangdut music in Indonesia, but it's okay.
The next tracks preceded by insane drums intro (yes I knew it's drum machine!). Now you can hear the vocals. He's good enough to spell Indonesian with this his style. You can listen the articulation well. The other tracks, sounds similar and there are little repetitive songs in this album. But actually, they're talented to create some epic composition. Suppose that if they use more progression and key variation, That will be perfect (maybe...).
Musically, this band is unique with their own style. Combine the brutality with traditional music make theme stand out. Don't worry about drum machine and Moel's vocals, It's good enough to kick your ass!
So guys, Buy their stuff and listen carefully their music! It will taste more if you listen all tracks on your vacation in Bali. Beware the Barong and Kecak dance! Once again I said they are epic, it's common if Matt Sotelo stole their balinese scale for latest Decrepit Birth....
