Brazil’s black-speed soloist Diabolical Evil unleashed pure rage on 7″ format via Vicious Witch Records, let’s get right into the chaos!

Soaring guitars open the EP with a magnificent feeling of triumph before quickly dropping into a mix of thrashing guitars, d-beats and really thick bass tones which are met by truly gut-wrenching vocals. The maniacal South American metal spirit is vibrant here with melodic flourishes bringing class heavy metal instrumentation into the bestial headbanging assault. The raw but classic sound packs a superb punch and the sense of songwriting makes this unusually long track still retain its anthemic qualities with black metal mysticism shining through the primitive onslaught. There is a lot to enjoy about this a-side which is nicely varied and yet tied together in a way that isn’t just a mash-up of ideas but makes a killer song.

Following we go further into overdriven chaos with a more thrashy piece of stomping extreme metal full of groove and grit. Howling voices and rough instruments create a cacophony of anarchic and diabolical heavy metal which is tinged with the punk attitude that was present in most classic speed metal while being ultimately metallic and ready to cause carnage. You’ll be flipping this 7″ over and over again to bang your head in the morbid rites of Diabolical Evil, totally wicked.

Savage, violent and rabid, the attitude and essence of this EP is pure old school mania which is displayed gloriously across 2 songs of killer black thrashing speed metal mayhem.
