Demora - Inside

Possibly the best demo to hit the inbox all year. - 80%

CallerOfTheCthulhu, October 21st, 2005

Alright, so this two song demo CD landed in the inbox a little bit ago, and all it is is the front insert sleeve and the CD. No accompanying lyrics or anything. Simple enough. The band's name: Demora. The title of this demo: Inside. Remember those two things, and you'll be fine.

As the back of the insert says, "Tales about the inside of my mind," you know you're in for a trip with this one. Falling in the vain of the darker and heavier gothic metal acts out there with a hint of melodic death, Demora unleashes an assault on your nerves. "Schizophrenia", the first cut off the EP, being heavy, fast paced and somewhat lengthy with an amazing guitar solo, will have you in awe of the harsh vocals and melodic mayhem. "Everything" is nothing like "Schizophrenia", however. While the music is somewhat heavy, it is also dark and brooding, almost melancholy from start to finish, much slower in comparison, but just as good.

So, simply put, this CD has two different musical aspects in one main style. An assault, and then a somewhat brooding melancholy. Possibly one of the most impressive demos that has made it's way to the inbox, you'll have Inside on repeat in your CD player...but possibly not as long...
