Def Leppard's "Heaven Is" is a lively track on their 1990 album, "Adrenalize." After the death of their guitarist, Steve Clarck, Def Leppard apparently decided to take a safer approach in writing music. "Heaven Is" is a perfect example. Here is a sample of the main chorus:
"Heaven is a girl I know somewhere,"
"She makes me feel good when I feel like hell..."
These lyrics show the similarities between dating women and devoting oneself to Jesus Christ. They are merely "spreading the word" of Jesus Christ in a more "down-to-earth" sense. But aside from this song's cheesiness, it contains good guitar rifts and a catchy melody.
