Here is an EP offering four more original songs, one cover, and two live tracks by Darkwell with their first vocalist, in their original style. The sound is the same as Suspiria. The first two tracks would sound quite in place on that album, the third slower vampyric elegy and a faster fourth track rounding out the extremities of what's possible with their ultra-gothic brand of operatic metal. The cover of Tanita Tikram's "Twist in my Sobriety" opens with the sort of brutal guitar and organ combo that steal the song from its indie rock origins and write its name in the book of great metal anthems. The live tracks highlight the best of Darkwell's debut effort with a grittier performance and Austrian farewells. If you liked Suspiria, this EP is worth your money as well.
