When I first listened to the record I was surprised to hear such a technical band of this genre in my country, it was also noticeable that they sounded much alike when they played live and in the album. From the bowels of hell has really good trashy riffs, which difference the band from other black metal bands in Uruguay. It is clear to someone who listens to the album that there are influences from bands like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth, but still like that they managed to achieve something different from they genre, a good mix of heavy guitar riffs with great drum rhythms and good keyboard melodies.
None of the songs in this album gives you the feeling that a riff is being repeated or a guitar/bass/drum rhythm is alike in one of the other album tracks, every single song has its own power..I think this is one of the best black metal albums I have ever heard, It is truly hard for a black metal fan not to like it, not only the music is great but the lyrics and the vocals are worth of listening the whole album many times. All along the album, a part of every song is meant for every member to demonstrate how good they play, it has keyboard solos, guitar solos, and many other parts where the bass guitar and the vocals can be heard neatly, though not throughout all the songs
I saw the live band four times and I realized that someone that never heard the album would have a hard time to understand the music due to the quality of the sound. It is really a shame that they didn’t achieve better sound. I think they are great musicians, and this album proves it, and I find it hard to believe that they didn’t realize the album could have sounded much better with just a little more work, that’s why I’m not rating them at a 100%, just because of the sound. The solos are sometimes very hard to hear, as well as any other treble sound on the record. Still like that, the band is great, and I think anyone should have the opportunity to listen to the record, a GREAT BLACK METAL RECORD!!!
