Grind away, cabron!
Well, I knew that Dino Cazares and Billy Gould were involved in Brujeria. I've also heard that Danny Herrera and Jesse Pintado recorded this album also. Anyway, I don't care who they are, because these guys know how to grind.
I remember that I took their first album with a big humour percetage. even though the concepts they deal with are real and not to be laughed at.
Anyway, this is a rare mix between some death metal riffs and grindcore. They state in the booklet that the album was composed and recorded in about 2 weeks. Well, you can hear that in the production, which changes between songs (not a big change, though) and the songs structures. Not very interesting. Maybe 3 or 4 songs stand out. I dig the vocals. Juan Brujo has a really weird tone. He is not a native spanish speaker. Nor the guy who writes the lyrics. But that just adds more weirdness to the songs.
Ok, as a conclusion, if you liked "Matando Gueros", there is a 50% possibility that you will like this one. But is is not as constant and well produced as their debut. But, if you like spanish tangled satanic grind, get it.
