Bleed the Messiah

This band fucking sucks.

I cannot think of a phrase that sums up this band as well as the phrase above. From the premier bar metal epicenter of Rochester, NY, comes Bleed the Messiah. A combination of Lamb of God rip-offs, shitty melodic "death/thrash" metal and a heaping dump of metalcore vocals equals Bleed the Messiah. More like Bleed Your Wrists Because You Will Fucking Want To Die After Hearing This Poop.

3 tracks, if only it could have been less. Starts off with some ominous guitar riff, then goes into your standard mall-goth hate filled groove riff. Don't let the genre description on this page fool you, there is little thrash to be found. The majority of this is bland, mid-paced groove riffs. The vocals actually sound like that of a death metal bands, but that is where any other resemblance ends. The drumming is extremely average, totally uninteresting. It's almost as if the drummer was falling asleep during the recording of these songs, they're that mundane. The bass is totally inaudible, I'm not even sure if this band has one. It's that bad. But like their bar metal luminaries, these fellows will continue to stink up the local scene and hold back good bands by associating with them. Pretty unfortunate.

This is nothing new and I am sure the members would agree with me if they were not involved in this project at all. This is a band you see before a respectable metal band, one you've been waiting for months to see. But because these guys either pay to play or are "buddy's" with the promoter or venue, they get added on and put a damper on the true metal fans fun. Unfortunately, multiple bands like this get added on to these kind of shows and the night turns into a game of "how many cigarettes can I go through before the headliner comes on?" We've all been here before, let's not support it. Avoid.
