Blaspheron - Hidden Darkness

Good to know that True Black Metal exists! - 80%

Wrath_of_Unholy, March 11th, 2007

I checked this band out of curiosity, as they hail us from Turkey. The first thing I have noticed while listening to this demo was the good quality even though it's their first release.

The singing is poassionate, cold and grim. The guitar riffs really fit together perfectly and more variated than average primitive Black Metal bands. Drums would sound better if they had found a real drummer to record. The whole album is loaded with dark melodies of misanthropy and evil, none of which were played with keyboard. And, the best of all, you can tell the difference between songs! Each song is completely different, which means there is a range of moods from song to song. While some are depressive, others are fst and grim songs. In the end, this album is an example of how powerful and hateful Black Metal can be while still remaining true. And it's a good proof of what they are going to come up with. The only suggestion I would tell them, is to find a famous and better label for their new works. If you think you're completely in Black Metal, give them a chance!

Standout Tracks: "Hidden Darkness", "Nothingness".
