For a while now I have been looking for an album like this, something so weird and so different from the stuff I usually listen too. This release is that exact thing, no guitars, drums, only voices, electronics, and synth.
The whole album is one giant ambient field trip. The sound itself when stripped of all the electronics is the same somber ambient keyboard tones that rarely changes. But several industrial/electronic effects are added in, usually enhancing the overall weirdness feeling. Any voice work is spoken word, some done by a Kenji Siratori (who I know nothing about), the bands front man. They also use some nice samples (the song “Devourment” has this news headline playing over and over).
Putting this album into words is pretty hard but it offers a nice listening experience if you are opened minded enough to listen to this and let it consume you, however if you can’t stand any industrial or electronic influences you should probably avoid this.
