Bestial Raids - Reversed Black Trinity

bestial unholy war - 90%

optimuszgrime, February 12th, 2008

Polish version of Conqueror except with their unique brand of filthiness and darkness. There seems to be a theme going on with this band through out this album, namely the idea of the reversed black trinity, as mentioned in the inner sleeve ‘Of Spirit, Flesh and Entity’. The entire album sounds very obscure and is very brutal black metal, and although they must be followers of the Ross Bay Cult, they do put themselves a little bit apart form those bands. Their guitar work is different in that the ‘melodies’ are different. The drums are basically like Black Witchery, Blasphemy and these bands, blast beats and more blast beats. Even when he plays slow he plays a slow blast beat, it is incredible. The production is, of course, shitty as all hell, but what did you expect? This is metal hell, no jokes, no poses, just chains, spikes and gas masks. Evil prevails through out this whole album, and it is raw and filthy sounding to high hell. If you like that sort of blackened war metal, go for it, you will not be disappointed.
