Raw as fuck black metal - 75%

MaggotMan, November 25th, 2004

This demo is not for the masses. Well, it's what you could call black/grind, as it scrapes along like a circular saw. Hell, the riffs are a stream of the most raw riffs you could come up with, sort of like Beherit (Oath Of Black Blood era) but even less musical. The riffs don't seem to change much, because they're so harsh you can't make them out too well. The drums could have been better, they have a "tap" noise sort of like Judas Iscariot "Heaven In Flames", meaning they're very minimal.

Several of the tracks start out with a clip, taken probably from some strange movies. You can even hear the tape being put in between the tracks to play the clip. Did I forget to mention the vocals? Ah yes, they are a sickly squeel, not really typical but not entirely original either, but they are effective and quite sick.

Really this is just a demo you put on when you want to hear black metal of a traditional satanist kind, with minimal production. I would rate it higher if it had a better sound, but then again, this wasn't meant to have a "good" sound. You'll have to turn the volum up pretty loud to make out everything. Some might think it's worthless, some would worship this. Your state of mind will decide for you, especially if your seeking satanic darkness.
