Thrashing Through Your Mind starts with great opener "Gone With The Blastwave". Just listen to the first guitar riff and you'll know you're listening to some serious music right now. Soon after the first catchy riff starts great riffing and drumming and the vocals come in. Vocalist Petri Nordman sounds like old school "black metal" vocalists from Norway. He's just awesome and he knows how to do his job.
Gone With the Blastwave has catchy chorus, great drum and guitar work and old school feeling. It makes you feel that you've just gone with this blastwave.
Next one "Memories of War" tells about Finnish war against Russia. Great track with great lyrics. "Memories of War, can't ignore, Thousand russians, blood and gore." Also big plus comes from the grim intro at the beginning. This band is not slowing down.
"Out of the Night They Came" is little longer, epic masterpiece. With great bass solo at the beginning and great drumwork from Anssi Kantola. This song has real potential! Song is also lyrical-wise. It has it's grim moments!
Next song "Fool's Fate" is only song on the EP that doesn't get me with it. It's just not that good one but it's not too bad either. It doesn't stand so well on it's own but the chorus is again lyrically great and catchy. "Just one by one, they all will go!"
Last song "...And the Candle Burns" is great in the end and again atmospheric one. It has catchy dark moments and great lyrical work. It seems to be the best thing in ArchiTorture's style. They can make songs with atmosphere!
So "Thrashing Through Your Mind" is more than decent release from Finland. This band has potential and great atomsphere in their songs. Every metal fan should check this EP and listen to it few times! Each time you listen to it you find something new!
