Origin of Murder

Origin of Murder is the third full length from the Colombian band Amputated Genitals and it was released in 2019 by Sevared Records. This album is heavy as fuck and gives me the impression of listening to a huge truck with a noisy engine, but I enjoy every second of it!

Vocals are insane, this guy doesn't have a human throat! I like the sound of the guitar, its distortion, the harmonics, as well as the heavy 'chugs', which are great and perfect for headbanging. Melodies are included through the record and I believe it is something good for your ears, it is like a rest before another storm.

Drums are very fluid, you will find a lot of figures with the cymbals especially, and of course, it is super fast, it keeps a strong beat. I do not like much the sound of the snare though, not sure if it is the tone or if it is something about the mixing. The bass has a distortion a bit common in the genre, however, it is killer!

One more thing that I appreciate a lot, is the concept of the album. It depicts the brutal violence of Spanish conquistadors when arrived in America, imposing their religion and rules with blood and suffering. You can see it in the cover art, very gore. It is like telling some of history with extremely brutal music.
