First of all, if you managed to get to my reviews you will find, again, that I like this noisy collisions and sometimes, my point of view on evaluations are quite subjective at best, so, rating points may shock you comparednto what I express, but I try to be crucial and direct on my explanations, in short, I write like shit.
Agathocles side is somewhat a grindnoisy release, a mixture between noise leading to just a powerviolence punky roothless creation that seems to be improvised.
This side contains angry high screaming, tons of blast beats, appart of that, is like the same guitar riff played is repeated all over and over again all the album long because you won't distinguish if there is more than one song since everything is almost literally the same, same rapid power chords followed by non-stopping blast beats and a bass that can't be heard properly at all because the sound of everything is a clusterfuck of auditive madness that can't give more than that.
The release was a live recording, drums are sometimes way too loud, and other times they are way too damn soft in terms of how it is heardable, let's put the fact that when Nils starts the blast beats all the audio coming from the drums starts to vanish, as if it he starts losing the force to mantain that speed, vocals are overhelming everything tapping every other instrument present from time to time, and sometimes it just can't be "comprehended" (of course, they are screams, you will hear it but not as you would expect to hear someone shouting in a band) no growls, no deep voicea, just screaming.
You may get your ears raped auditive listening to this, no joking.
Guitars produce a sound similar to a knife trying to cut stone, is just raw, what I call, the "teethcrusher".
There resides almost no musical structures, whoever, is like they studied the tempos perfectly when to start and when to finish bashing every instrument but respecting a metronome, for example, the mayhem starts but stop suddenly at the same time and so it goes all side long.
This is not bad, but seems to be recorded in some basement in a party where people were chilling and drinking, that's a good stuff, but somehow, it is not fulfilling totally my joy, is just too short and seems that improvised that can't be much more describes as what it is, noise and that's it.
Krush side starts with a strange noise weird composition which seems to be inspired in "The Jetson" cartoons but under acid effects and drunk, yes, is that weird.
This side is crust at best and follows no musical determinance at all, this is literally noise created by guitars with no riffs, no solos, no sections, no construction, no nothing, a bass that is doing almost mispronounced things like the guitars, no heardable "vocals" and poorly played drums (if you can call it playing), this instrument is the only thing "recognizable" whatsoever, imagine that, drums or percussion with nothing to give but random noise and nothing else, disgrace.
The way that everything here is implemented creates an atmospheric enviorment nevertheless, like lot of chainsaws trying to eviscerate rocks inside a dark empty bathroom similar to Saw the movie, is enjoyable at some point if you like this sub-micro-subsubgenres that can make you imagine weird stuffs, someone would call it "experimental", most of people would call it what it is, shitty noise.
I liked the split thought, but is not even good to be honest, is not like other splits where Agathocles can balance the distaster of the other side making good not-music. not Krush nor Noisothocles made this thing well even for the year it was made, but if you wanna give it a try, do it, the lyrics are pretty nice.
