Лютомысл - I(')MQUI(nt)ESs/cENCE

Amazing Record - 95%

Taliesin, November 8th, 2005

Though perhaps Lutomysl's best album is the newest "Decadence" this album, his second is very close to it. What you'll find here is bleak depressive yet vehement black metal with repetitive drumming, traditional yet original guitar riffs and a vocal approach that is feral and intense.
The songs are amazing, and though long they feel totally right. There is a deep atmosphere of darkness and melancholy throughout this, but there is a lot of aggression at the same time, reminding this listener of Judas Iscariot, though they are very different bands.
"Imquintesscence" is essential if you enjoy music by bands like Forest, Drudkh, Judas Iscariot, Hate Forest and the more depressive Norwegian black metal bands. Lutomysl is pure cult National Socialist Black Metal that will never sell out or pervert his music. Amazing stuff.
