Одна капля бездны...

Крылья sounded promising on the cover. The band's name means “wings” and the logo is pretty cool. Funeral Doom is pretty hard to fuck up, even basic and minimalistic funeral doom can scratch the itch. This album, however, is a fucking mess.

All of the elements are smashed together willy nilly without any regard to time signature. None of the songs are kept in time, the drums just kinda hit at random intervals. Even when there are promising moments, they are ruined by off-time drums interrupting the damn song. There are discernible riffs but they are placed amidst breathy whispered growls and at times the guitar just drones on and doesn't seem to follow any particular pattern. The keyboards are the most pleasant sounding element of the album when they aren't drowned out by the buzzing incoherent guitar or the atrocious off time drums or the raspy vocals recorded way too close to the microphone.

I could probably give this album 20 points more if at the bare minimum the drums kept time with the guitars. The shit riffs and vocals don't bother me nearly as much as how fucking terrible the drums are. I cannot play shit for an instrument and I feel I could record something better than this.
