This very short ep released by a relatively unknown band was a great surprise to me. I was expecting experience-lacking music with very simple riffs and a basic "ready-to-use" structure.
I was then astonished from the first seconds of "Raven Song", a very melodic, mature, and powerful sound with beautiful instrumental parts. Actually, it was a very good song! I would naturally not say that this song is perfect as sometimes the vocals suck a bit and it lacks a really epic refrain, but this is a very good folk/death metal piece.
"Odin Will Provide" has quite a different atmosphere with more brutal tunes, showing the band's ability to diversify its production, but it is as good as the previous track for me. It sounds more technical than the first one, with a greater importance of synths with quite beautiful string-like sounds.
This ep is, in conclusion, a very good beginning and I'm very hopeful about the band's future.
