Used to be co-owned by the members of all of the signed bands. Following the label's closure, they moved on to Negate Everything.

Trivia

The origin of the name is a dream by one of the members, U.C, and is related to eremitic Buddhism.

Apart from usual label-related activities, the group of artists behind Yamabushi Recordings have been working together since at least 2010 as a circle, which used to be known as the Yamabushi Collective. The circle includes (but is possibly not limited to):

Bahuchara, Cease to Exist, Cthulhu Youth, Ewige Schlangenkraft, Evangelic tha Slick, Foot Powder, Gevurah, Gnostic Front, Gormless, Klux, Monlam Chenmo, Mr Bradly-Mr Martin, Nembutal, NHGH, Nowt, Ohrmuzd 3, Prison Shower, Procrastinator, Smart Casual, Swastikas on Parade, (The) Troglodytes, The Lightning Dudes, Turbo Chong, and Ungrund.
