The debut albums from Nile (Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka) and Exhumed (Gore Metal) were already recorded before the label went belly up and were originally to be released by Visceral Productions. When the label's stock was bought by Relapse, so were the release rights to both albums. Hemdale, Visceral Productions founder Craig Rowe's band, also released a record on Relapse.
Other bands who were signed to release material on Visceral Productions were Incantation and Scattered Remnants. Both bands went on to release material on Spain's Repulse Records after Visceral's death.
Visceral Productions was started by Craig Rowe, who drummed for grind/death outfit Hemdale at the time.
