Description
As a result of the joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment Inc. and Bertelsmann Music Group (part of Bertelsmann AG) on August 5, 2004, the Danish division was named Sony BMG Music Entertainment Denmark A/S. This company combined the activities of Sony Music Entertainment (Denmark) A/S and BMG Denmark A/S.
When Sony Music acquired Bertelsmann's 50% stake in the company in August 2008 and became Sony Music Entertainment, the Danish division took back it's old name, Sony Music Entertainment Denmark A/S.
