Description
Sanctuary Records, founded by Rod Smallwood & Andy Taylor, was the largest independent record label in the UK and the largest independent music management company in the world until June 2007 when it was declared bankrupt. It was bought that year by Universal Music Group for £44.5 million. Universal Music Group in turn sold it to BMG Entertainment in 2013.
Later renamed Sanctuary after the Iron Maiden song.
