Description

Founded by Steve Mason and Barry Kobrin in Jamaica, NY as record distribution company. In addition to distributing releases from overseas labels for domestic market, IRD also founded some of their own in-house labels: I.R.D. Records, Relativity Records, Combat Records.

In 1993 IRD was renamed to Relativity Entertainment Distribution or RED Distribution.
