Description

Avanzada Metálica was Mexico's first independent metal label. Founded by Georgui Lazarov & Carlo F. Hernández, they were two journalists working at the rock magazine Conecte. They also started Mexico's first real metal fanzine, Heavy Metal Subterráneo. The label closed in 1995, with its catalog, name & logo bought by Discos y Cintas Denver.

In the early '90s with the growing advent of black & death metal, it stared focusing more on these styles. It's also where the label's discography becomes rather difficult to follow, partly because it started issuing as official releases band's demos, which of course have a knack for disappearing off the face of the Earth way quicker than any rare vinyl might.

Avanzada Metálica was reactivated on January 17, 2012, this time under total control of Discos y Cintas Denver.
