Idea 1: Adding a formats released line to the album and video pages for example

Full-length, Label
May 19th, 2007
Vinyl, Tape, CD, DVD or VHS, DVD whatever

Idea 2: Adding a secondary queue for bands that belong on the site but that where added by idiots and need cleaned up. A mod could mark it for clean up and resubmission maybe with a bounty or something and let anyone edit it.

Idea 3: Make the Goggle search the normal function for the site and keep the old regular and advanced as advanced and specialty or something like that I would think it could reduce the strain on the server and give the best of both worlds. As frankly I would think a fair bit of the searches done daily could be done with the Google search just as well.

Thank you Rainer1.

I think the first idea could be a nice feature if it couldn't just be added to the notes of the release. Most people put the info there like this:

http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=141091

But I do agree that if it doesn't take up too much room maybe a "Initial release format" spot would be nice.

Opinions on this idea:

Those who write a review would be able to vote and the result of the vote would be displayed on the release' site.

Why?
Probably to add more useless crap to the site. :)
Production values, the level of autonomy etc. should be discussed in a review.

The formats thing might be usefull though.

Idea 1 ----> v2

Idea 2 - I don't see any need for that.

Idea 3 - It was already suggested to keep both searches, though not to "hide" the regular search.

oneyoudontknow - Nah...

To complicated. Keeping it simple is enough and people can find the information in reading the review so it is rather useless in my opinion and I agee with christkiller that it looks ugly.
