This is a question/suggestion. Is it possible to search bands(albums) based on the user ratting?

Might make it easier to find good music.

I don't mean that... Not ratting of the band in general, but their album percentage.
Since albums are already rated, I meant if there could be an advanced search function to find albums that were rated certain percentage.
But perhaps that wouldn't be very efficient way of browsing the archives.

Because people (for the most part) are mindless, conformist drones who need people to tell them what to listen to.

[edit]Oh, "ratting", not "rating", my bad. Well, I think these kids need a healthy dose of "Round and Round".

Oh man, with rattings or ratings or whatnot, some of the "recommendations" I get from Amazon make me want to die. "OMG WTF LOL you bought <insert random cheezeball power/prog metal album here> so you must like <insert random gay non-metal album here>" Yeah, makes a lot of sense. They also recommended me "Harry Potter" because I bought some random cookbook. Yeah, good going guys.

Normally I'd love to piss around with something like last.fm, but I cringe in horror at the atrocities they'd throw my way (esp. since my tastes randomly fluctuates between power/prog metal (all varieties), bm (all varieties, except the gay, overproduced melodic, keyboard-drenched crap that legions of homos on the internet tend to fellate), and death/grind (esp. old school Swedish stuff, usually).

Blame alcohol... lots of it. :p

And if anyone took my joke/trolling seriously, you seriously need a shotgun blast to the head :p

Besides you find out about good bands mostly by the "word of mouth" , sometimes you stumble on something good but thats rare.

Possibility in V2. Emphasis on "possibility."
