The band has announced the new album and a small tour on their Facebook page.

I'm super excited about this, although I think Black Thrash Attack and Deep Tracts of Hell are their best albums, I don't think Czral/Aggressor and Apollyon can really do any wrong by me.

Hoping this is another unrelenting album!

I've been playing a lot of Out to Die lately. It's easily their strongest since Deep Tracts of Hell, but it's been six years since then. Hope this one can maintain the badassery.

I enjoy Out to Die although I don't spin it all that often. It's still very ugly and abrasive, but I really miss the disjointedness and frenetic pace of the early stuff, which is what I really look for when I'm putting on an Aura Noir record.

I was under the impression Czral's injuries from his fall had a lot to do with the overall more mid-paced focus of the songs, maybe now that he's sort of back on his feet things will pick up again.

The last album from Temis-less Sabbat wasn't very good, though. :(

Aura Noir have been brilliant since The Merciless and, although the first two are good, they really picked up on their third. Out to Die was spectacular and very much a Blasphemer-led album. I saw them last summer at Party San as a three piece and it amplified the Motorhead-esque tendencies of their work. I'm kind of expecting Iron Fist with the evil turned up to 10 here.

I think it's only because he used to do a lot of the drumming on those first couple albums and he was GOOD; fast. After the fall, they put out Hades Rise, which I think is one of their best, but Apollyon can't play that fast, so they had to slow things down. That's the way I've always thought of it.

Excited for the new album. I asked Carl when I saw Aura Noir in Chicago when the next album was coming out, he said "Next year sometime". This was last October. Was a great show too.

And also, what? No single!

You think so? I thought Sabbatrinity was a total killer, one of the best things they ever recorded.

First track released:

Pretty cool track, completely different mix than what I've come to expect from them. The guitars sound a bit tinny so I'm hoping this isn't the album mix.

Definitely excited to hear more.

Why aren't you all raving about this? You're bad people.

Okay, I'll admit it took me about four listens to get into it, but god damn am I hooked now. The riffing is just so unconventional - which is par for the course for Aura Noir of course - that it didn't really click for me at first.

I've been listening to it non-stop since yesterday though. It reminds me most of Black Thrash Attack but I'm also hearing even stronger Motorhead and Voivod influence than before.

It’s fantastic, I am just kind of burnt out on thrash. I’ll have to come back to this.
