It's true, it was a remarkably efficient and concentrated demonstration of ugliness.

That's because usually the prosecutor has his shit together enough to get a trial to court within the time limit. After a certain amount of time an accused awaiting trial has to be released, regardless of whether they made bail or not -- that time limit was passed in this case. Sixth amendment, yo.

That still leaves the bruising. I don't know if you've followed the case, but this is another aspect of the allegations that has now become dubious. It's gradually adding up.

I regret reading this thread, there is far too much wrong with the majority of posts. On one hand we have racist trolls like asymmetricist and the other we have people I had hoped to be intelligent rashly and arbitrarily coming up with conclusions despite not being involved or having any information besides hearsay and second hand accounts. There is no good reason to conclude the alleged victim is or is not lying nor is there any good reason to conclude the band did or did not rape her. The bottom line the facts of this case are still concealed to protect the integrity of this trail and the conclusion should be left up the jury. Personally I can hypothesize several scenarios which do or do not implicate the band and like everyone else here I do not have access to any corroborating evidence to decide which is true, attempting to do otherwise just suggests a severe lack of logical thinking, poor judgement and a personal bias. In short I'm glad none of you are on the jury.

That said, I hope this trail is resolved swiftly so that one of two things can occur.

1. The victim can try to put this traumatic event behind her to the best of her abilities.
2. The band can be exonerated and continue making music.

What? Nope, that was someone else.

No one was ever applying to be on a jury for this case.

People lost in the mountains often hope that i) the integrity of the trail they are on is protected, and ii) the trail is resolved swiftly by arriving at a road or town.
