I've got two selections. First one is from a Deathcore band called Brojob. That's about all you need to know.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cwWRFNCD2GA

Second one is something my brother sent me today. I have no idea where he found it, and I don't know if this dude is being serious or not. Regardless, terrible music and terrible green screen equates a good time for all.

ah, fan favourite Mark Gormley. Little Wings is his calling card. As is his power pose in the videos.

He also makes an appearance on Phil Thomas Kat's own classic The Enterprise Room".

I don't really find the music terrible. Sort of reminds me of Lordian Guard (Bill Tsamis of Warlord's project) which also sort of straddles the line between terrible and awesome.

The video is another thing though.

Spent an hour driving around my city with my girlfriend, looking for a theater that didn't have a sold-out showing of Thor 3 (spoiler: we never found one). For that full hour, the only song my girlfriend would play was this song. On repeat. For an hour.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-9_8QFxjwI

Suffice it to say, next time I'll be the one driving us around.

Sexist, annoying, disposable rock - even 15 years ago it would've been junk, haha.

Any Imagine Dragons song I hear instantly becomes one of the worst pieces of anti-music, offensive bullshit drivel I've ever heard recorded. There is nothing redeeming about their sound, and any producer, label exec, promoter, booker, agent and even every parent, friend and family member that supported them will forever be on my shit-list of humans who have unleashed a net negative contribution towards mankind in the form of the colossal shitstain that is Imagine Dragons. If you were complicit in this affront to decent music and base-level good taste, I will never be able to look you in the eye. I feel a physical anger quaking deep within me every time their poppy arrangements of brown-notes nonconsensually invades my ear holes. I'm a peaceful mild mannered person. I'm very at ease in my life, and I've cultivated a positive outlook towards my fellow humans, the world and my place in it.... BUT if one thing is guaranteed to send me into a fit of violent reactionary rage, it's having to hear even a second of the refuse-masquerading-as-music that is this fucking "band."

Some of the more egregious examples of trash that regrettably through circumstances of the world, I have been forced to be aware of:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFhs7WVvuXk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wtfhZwyrcc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktvTqknDobU

Please note, if you brave enough to sample any of the songs, that each of them is the exact same fucking thing, which makes it even more infuriating.

Because there is nothing try-hard about my hatred for Imagine Dragons. In fact it's one of the things that comes most easiest to me.

Apparently this band (Tourniquet) are/were a famous Christian thrash/power metal band...as basically every thrash band has an awkward 90's album, it's no surprise that Tourniquet do too, but....ummm....yeah...just watch for yourself!

This. Oh my God. When you think your country's music scene couldn't be worse... The lyrics are idiotic and please, spare yourself from translating them into English. The music video accompanying it is also moronic. The woman looks like she's wearing diapers with glitter on them.

I think the point of a "try-hard" is that 95% of the members on MA hate Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike etc etc etc. Imagine Dragons are falling into the same pool of cheap pop/rock that drives the minds of 16-24 year olds nowadays.

I have the same feeling about 21 Pilots - cant stand them. It doesnt mean their music is really really bad. I personally dont like it.

Ehh, there's nothing really contrived about my opinion though. I genuinely feel like Imagine Dragons is at an infinitely higher level of suck than any of those you mentioned. Including 21 pilots.... In my book, ID separates themselves from the pack of usual pop artists with a perfect storm of every terrible modern anthem rock trope, so I'm not coming from a place of "I'm a metalhead and I think radio pop sucks!" This is a special case, and a distinction should be made.

EDIT:my tongue = firmly in cheek

haha this one has been doing the rounds for years - it could actually be an alright song if everything about it was better (singing, instrumentation, production, etc). But yeah, I'm intrigued by the way the guy introduces it. I have to wonder if he represents some kind of underground scene of completely unaware, painfully-average dad rock. And if there's a massive online fanbase etc.

This song always makes me think of Manilla Road. I kinda like it because of that.

No actually I'm just gonna be honest; I unironically enjoy Mark Gormley's Without You.

A human being introduced me today to what they advertised would be "alternative pop" with more "artistic value" than "mainstream pop". It was 21 Pilots. The song they showed me was one of the ten songs that played in rotation all day long at the pizza shop I worked at for a few months.

I like a lot of 21 Pilots songs ("Heathens" in particular is really cool) but I thought they got overplayed to shit just from occasional car radio. I could only imagine what it'd be like hearing them at work all day...

Okay, both those songs were crap, but "Mass Text" is clearly worse because it's trying to be a professional song and just fails at all levels. "Skip Skip Slide" sounds like a bunch of friends just being goofy and having a bit of fun (even though that song is still really bad).

I listened to that entire EP, it's bad, but I've heard worse grind. There was one (I may have posted it?) where it was just 1,000mph blasts and kept starting and stopping. It was like auditory whiplash, but the video got axed at some point.

and yet I've yet to delete said EP for some reason. Hell I've yet to erase Lulu from my HD for some reason and that was abominable.

Can't stop laughing looking at this, they looks really possessed and dead serious at the same time

I will NEVER understand Pierre Boulez-like composers and people who like it, it sound really crappy and without research at all.
Pretty sure if i put a cat on a cello without telling them, they can't heard differences.

Saw this album's (original) artwork on youtube recommended vids, was intrigued enough to look it up on the archives. Then I saw this song title, "The Strong Doubt I Can Revive" which was nonsensical enough to warrant looking up the song itself. It's really bad. Breathy vocals, riffage barely any rougher than the wimpiest glam, anti-climatic ending, etc. For someone who can at least tolerate any random 80s metal, I thought this sucked a lot.
