That album art is so sick! This should be awesome. My favorite albums from them are their first two, but they're all good in their own right. I'm curious to hear what they'll bring to the table.

This artwork reminds me alot of the recent Warfather album which Tucker was apart of. If this album sounds like that one only with some of Treys patented riffing style and solos I will be very impressed.

Band logo's a bit small and kinda awkwardly placed, but other than that I like the artwork.

This is awesome man. Anything will be better than Illud! Tuck being back has me pumped. Don't like that covert art at all, not a fan of that style. Title sounds good though. Cannot wait to hear how this sounds. A return to the Formulas/Gateways sound would be fucking EPIC.

Gotta agree with you on the logo placement. Throws it off a bit, but everything else looks great. Usually that computer generated look irks me hard, but there seems to be a blend of styles here that works for some reason.

I'll definitely check this out. Anything has to be better than the last one since they set the bar so low with it.

The cover is different for Morbid Angel, way more straight-forward than anything before. I didn't expect it but if the last CD taught us anything it's to expect the unexpected from MA . Anyway, the cover is awesome...love the slick black logo!

I quite like the cover art, but let's see how the music stands once they release a song. It's been a very long time since the last one, and they have some redeeming to do (even though I thought "Too Extreme!" was still a badass song, haha).

Solid track. Could have easily been written during the original Tucker era.

I wonder when we can expect the Z album. They are already like halfway through the alphabet.

I think the cover looks pretty rad. Let's hope the music is too! Been starving for a proper Morbid Angel release for years.

It’s a small detail, but I’m a sucker for those brief stick clicks this song had and it’d be nice if more prominent bands kept things like that in more often.

Yeah, it sounds like Morbid Angel to me! I had high marks for the second WarFather album last year and there was zero chance Steve was coming back to make anything other than a death metal album. Scott and Dan seem like a natural fit, too. Say what you will about the previous album, but Trey has that kind of eye and ear for talent to surround himself with.

New song is pretty good, sounds a lot like a mixed-up Gateways (an album I really liked) so if they make an entire album of it - which they will because the backlash from Ilud was so harsh - then I'll be happy. Nothing like a band learning from its mistakes, haha. Drummer is doing a solid Pete impression too, so it really doesn't feel like much has changed.

I really like the artwork. I agree with the fact that logo is not very well placed. I would put it on the left.

surprised to see so much love for the cover art - the execution is awful - there's a decent enough base, but all the slapped on decals with terrible blending makes the end product look shit; something a 14 year old would do with given stock materials and a month's worth of experience with photoshop

Well, aside from the first two tracks which feel kinda wtf, those titles certainly give me a better feeling that Too Extreme! or Destructos vs. the Earth.

Don't care for the cover artwork at all, and seeing J now considered as canon threw me off a bit. But I still have high hopes for this one.

If only Pootube allowed me to stream the new single from here :fuck:

Where did you find this track list? So Warped has now been re titled Paradigms Warped? I would like to see a legit source to make sure this is real.

I'm usually not a fan of this type of digital artwork but in this case I think it isn't actually that bad. Some of the blendings though... yeah.

As for the song, I could only listen to about 30 secs but it sounded good! Gateways was one of my favourite albums by them (and the best from the Tucker era, imo) so if this one picks up where that one left off, it will be a very welcome return from a legendary band.

Amazon. Not surprised they changed Warped as Paradigms Warped sounds better to me. Watch the new Monstrosity get released the same day.

Title sounds very awkward and the artwork is a bit generic. Hope this music is anything but.

Could be a good few weeks with Cannibal Corpse first then this.

I still remember how excited I was for that album and then the moment the track titles were revealed......I also remember posting in that thread (under an older username) something like "Morbid Angel has a perfect discography so this will obviously be a masterpiece too". How could I have known the horrors that awaited...

But the new song is excellent, hope for some goofy weirdness on the new album too (the instrumentals on "Formulas..." and "Heretic").

Huh well that new song was actually good. Nice alien-sounding, twisted death metal. I wonder if they just got all of the weird shit out of their system on Illud or if Trey had to have his arm twisted in a 'fine, we'll do something for the fans' kind of way to make this.

I don't know but when the reunion with Tucker was first announced he said something on Facebook that implied he knows "nobody liked" the direction the band took but basically he doesn't care and will do whatever he wants "cause thats the kinda freaky artist I am". Tucker probably helped guide him in that direction too because he's apparently written some material for this album.

New track is good. Looking forward to this even more now. I like the cover, but think the logo needs to be angled in the top left corner instead of where it's at.

I get the impression that this is a forced back to the roots type of thing just to make sure they still have fans. Or maybe I'm wrong and the other tracks will have a lot of weird shit.

cover is a no for me, dog. little too "modern" for ma. almost looks like it'd be a carnifex greatest hits or something.

i'm sure the music itself will be fine. "warped" was a really cool track, and i heavily doubt they'll fuck this one up as bad as illud.
