Band of the week - Rituals of a Blasphemer
This guy has a bunch of projects from Unhuman Disease to Forbidden Eye and they are all really good, but this new album which features his wife on vocals is one of my favorites of the year so far.

Song of the day by Blood of the Moon
Never heard of these guys until the other day, kind of a Medieval mid-paced anthem

Also Those Opposed Records is having a massive sale with tons of awesome stuff for 1-5 euros, I would buy lots of this shit if I didn't already have it. check um out here http://www.thoseopposedrecords.com/catalog/

Besatt has been around for 23 years and is a long running favorite band of mine. Held together by just 1 guy with many lineup changes, especially in recent years. Way too many amazing songs to pick from. Here's an old one, the last minute is the best:

Chronaexus I really have no words for how fucking good these complete unknowns from the USA are... Like a heavier Drudkh infused with Decrepit Birth technique and long solos throughout

I enjoyed that Chronaexus song! Never heard of them before. Thanks for bringing them to my attention!

You are welcome, friend. I had to remind myself of them as well, they stated awhile ago that they are working on new material, so definitely be on the lookout for that.

I guess today will be an obligatory shout out to 2 of my favorite rising bands. Sielunvihollinen just posted this link to their new split with Sarkrista This is the first time I've heard the whole split in its final form since I am still waiting for my physical copy to arrive.

Since I discovered and reviewed this one man band recently I cannot stop listening to it. I found in the past few days that it also makes great mood music for Sunday hangovers, Monday hangovers/don't want to go to work blues and Tuesday gloomy raining road block days :ugh:

Listening to Baptism (the Finnish black metal band) today. These new reissues sound amazing and this is the first time I've really listened to the old Wisdom & Hate EP. Awesome stuff

Hrizg - I haven't listened to this 1 man band from Spain a whole lot, but he's got some pretty good songs. Just noticed there's a new album coming out in 10 days, going to have to check it out.

A horribly awesome song from a band that didn't last long.

Gjenferdsel I will probably never remember how to spell this. Just discovered this Norwegian band today, band of the week! Listened to the whole album, can't really pick out a best song...

The new Old Wainds album is quickly becoming one of my favorites of 2014 so far... Unique, technical, frozen sounding album.

Been listening to almost the entire Azaghal (Finland) discography again this week, always been one of my favorite bands that somehow never seems to stir much discussion. Their early releases have that nostalgic early black metal non-production quality that adds something that is lost these days even when bands try to re-non-produce it. Time has treated Azaghal well IMO with every album being excellent and walking a thin line of reinventing their sound and still sounding like the same band. Too many great songs throughout their career, but here's a handful of them /end mini review.

First song I've heard off the new Draconis Infernum album sounds very promising. Waiting for my factory copy any day now \m/

I ordered from Ketzer Records for the first time, just 3 CDs and they gave me 2 factory sealed CDs free and what do you know they are actually good! Despite having to work around them having no USA option in their automated shipping calculator I will definitely be ordering from them again. They have a HUGE selection a lot of which I've never heard and it only took a few days to get the package. Anyway I just checked out this Angmar (france) band they sent me and it's some really impressive atmospheric black forest metal.
