Goddamnit, am I the only one thinking the cover for that single is an MTG playing card?!

And calling Vader generic is just... :nono:

Vader do so love the overuse of exclamation marks!!!

And I kind of like how cheesy and 80s that cover art is. It basically says "Yes, this a picture of Satan. No subtext whatsoever. Problem?"

I can see a more 'flabby Satan' representing the sin of gluttony, so that works too.

Haha. I just watched the Seinfeld where Elaine overuses exclamation points also.

Hell yeah! A red/black card most likely. Looking forward to this stuff.

Edit: Though to be fair it's three exclamation points to accommodate three 6's.

Excited for this, "Welcome to the Morbid Reich" was a great album, especially considering how long Vader have been doing this and that it really wasn't a reinvention of their sound or a drastic changeup, just an iterative improvement and an album that did pretty much everything right.

To echo almost everyone else's sentiments here, I'll definitely be picking this up. If this continues down the path that the masterful WttMR walked, it will surely be a contender for DM album of the year. Vader is one of the most dependably awesome bands around. I find their penchant for brevity particularly admirable. Their ability to craft an assured, definitive record in as little as 30-35 minutes is something I wish more acts, which often take twice the time to produce less overall substance, would take to heart.

Haha that cover is so badass! I thought Welcome to the Morbid Reich is one of the best DM releases in recent time. Will be picking up this album for sure!

This looks delicious! It could be just me but this gives off some early-Sepultura album cover vibes but that's not a bad thing. As Zodi mentioned, the logo is looking crisp too with the artwork in the backdrop. Thank fuck they did away with the new logo after Necropolis. Metal bands should return to their initial logos rather than going for readable-mass-appeal ones.

I keep picturing a Vital Remains logo there. Wouldnt it have made more sense to put Necropolis on the Necropolis album? I admit, I dont buy music nearly as much as I used to, but this is a no brainer.

Joe Petagno's covers are always really distinctive. I was just browsing his site and he's got some amazing stuff in the galleries.
http://www.petagno.dk/

I had no idea he'd done the Mammoth Grinder, though, one of my faves from last year (music and cover art, I mean).

Reminded me of the cover for Motorhead's Sacrifice.

I seem to be in the minority here, I thought Welcome to the Morbid Reich lacked a certain...something. With that said, it's fucking Vader, so giving this a listen goes without saying.

I like how that new album cover has a bit of a 90s vibe :) Reminds me of Morbid Angel's Blessed Are The Sick with all those figures entangled in some sort of stream

Everybody saying the single art looked awesome is a damn silly fool.

Everybody saying the album art looked awesome is a damn smart cookie.

If that album artwork doesn't have equally awesome music behind it, this album will be surprise of the year for the wrong reason.

Vader is one of the most constant band around, it would be quite surprising if that's not good.

Nah, I never really got the love for Vader. The new album cover's plenty cool though, but that single cover is pretty horrible.

The cover art's alright. I'd like some variety in the colouring, as it's all a bit sepia for my taste, including the logo and title. All in all rather old school again. Vader do seem to like pretending it's still 1991, and I'm okay with that.

Oh damn, Joe did the album cover for Vader? No wonder it looks so good. I was a little disappointed in his artwork for Autopsy's Headless Ritual, but this definitely makes up for it!

The single cover is a little silly, but I get a Jump in the Fire vibe from it, like the demon from that cover has been working out all these years.

Semi-off topic, I'm not a fan of the more modern Sinister album covers :x
And the Vader one up there reminded me of a few Diabolic albums [same artist perhaps]

I'm probably the only person who thought the cover looked like Blaze from Mortal Kombat. But yeah, agree with the sentiments there, new Vader is always a good thing.

It's Joe Petagno so yes the very same who did Diabolic's albums, and Angelcorpse's Exterminate.

Damn fine stuff, I am super excited for this!

The singles cover wasn't bad, but I'm glad it isn't being used for the album proper. The full-length cover is just so goddamn cool, man.

Hmm, the cover art reminds me of those ridiculous Dark Funeral album covers of late.

Don't like the single cover much. Looks cheesy. Album on the other hand, whilst being pretty stereo-typical, looks very cool.

Ehh, when I first saw Dark Funeral's, I was really disappointed, since it looked like bad cgi/photoshop, as the only cover I have liked is Secrets...
When I saw Vader's, it had me thinking of Vital Remains- DOTA.

I'm not big on this cover art either, but 'the artist' is Joe Petagno of Motorhead fame. He created Snaggletooth. He won't go short of work any time soon.

50 second sample.

Sounds amazing, but were any of us expecting otherwise? It's Vader, of course it sounds amazing.

That Dark Funeral album is absolute crap. How can one not be reminded of some extremely low budget horror flic from the early '90s that people would rent nowadays for unintentional humour? So I guess it suites Dark Funeral.

The new Vader album cover is indeed pretty badass. Obviously looking forward to this since Vader are currently on a winning streak, and were great when I saw them live a few years ago. The single art reminds me of Diablo II so I like it as well.

Man, this album is going to kick so much ass. One of the best death metal bands ever in my opinion. Their consistency is hard to match and they pack more substance and intensity in ~ 3 minutes than most bands.
