Pretty good lineup, I think. Anytime King Diamond is headlining is perfectly fine with me.

That line up is all sorts of wierd to me. What's up with Death Angel not being on the thrash heavy night or Lamb of God had lining? And perhaps strangest of all, why did Scar Symmetry get condemned to 2nd stage?

Been to last few Bloodstocks but not going this year. It is a great festival but the lineup has not really grabbed me this time around. Maybe next years though!

BLOODSTOCK IN SEARCH OF STAGE ANNOUNCER

Do you reckon you got what it takes to be a main stage announcer?
You got the drive, attitude, delivery skills and the balls to introduce some of the biggest bands in metal?

Well here’s your chance.

Bloodstock are offering a one lucky winner an opportunity to plant their feet firmly on the Ronnie James Dio Stage and introduce a band at this year’s event, alongside a guided tour to see behind the scenes, meet the organising team and generally be part of the whole experience. Sounds pretty cool right?

So all you need to do is grab you iphones or video cameras and show us what you got – introduce a fantasy line up (we really don’t care how you do it) but remember the best one wins the full works backstage and gets to face off with the Bloodstock masses!

Upload your clips to any hosting site such as youtube, vevo or dailymotion and and send us the link to [email protected] and we’ll choose a winner!

Entrants can be humorous, informative, serious, scary it really doesn't matter so long as it’s unique yet not offensive!

So now’s your chance to be part of Bloodstock 2013.

Links must be online by July 18th with the winner to be announced shortly after.

For those of you who can’t make the entire weekend to the biggest Metal Party this summer - we are pleased to announce a limited number of day tickets will go on sale at 9.00am this morning.

The gates to Bloodstock’s main arena will open Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10am until 03.00am with over 35+ acts to choose from each day across the 4 stages and plenty of UK exclusives such as SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, KING DIAMOND, AVANTASIA, SABATON, EXODUS, AMORPHIS, VOIVOD, ACCEPT and MUNICPAL WASTE.

If you’re able to tear yourself away from watching the bands then check out the international metal market with traders coming far and wide and pick up a bargain! Take in a little refreshment at the Bloodstock Arms, or head over to the Metal Hammer signing Tent to meet the bands face to face! Don’t leave it to chance as due to licence capacity day tickets are limited!

BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL 2013 - THE KING DIAMOND CHALLENGE

To celebrate the legendary KING DIAMOND’s headline slot, there’s a special KING DIAMOND face-painting competition on Friday. We want to see a sea of King Diamond fans paint yourself up with your favourite KING DIAMOND make-up (any era you choose), if you want to try and win some Bloodstock goodies then head over to the Sophie stage and speak to the DJ team there to register your entry for the King Diamond Challenge. The overall winner, judged later that day, will receive some awesome Bloodstock goodies.

Also to add to the weekend’s fun, there’s an overall BLOODSTOCK weekend ‘fancy dress’ competition for those who love to dress up silly just because they can! Why do fancy dress for one day when we can do it for the whole weekend. Take a photo of yourself on site, dressed in whatever crazy outfit you reckon will win, upload it to the Bloodstock Facebook page to enter and you could win yourself some special Bloodstock prizes. We’ll be paying close attention so be as crazy and adventurous as you like

If you mean sound quality, then it varied for me. At some points they sounded muddy, then at some points clear. It is a livestream, so you can expect the audio to get messed up.

I didn't catch too much of Death Angel, but Ex Deo sounded terrible at the start. It's better now, but I think their guitars were pretty out of tune at one point as well.

Also, regarding the lineup: the Sabaton/Power Quest/Avantasia clash is absolutely nuts considering it is Power Quest's last show ever.

Good thing that you can hear the double bass drum of the Dark Funeral drummer. :nono:

Mixing slowly got better as the performance went on. I can actually hear the guitars and bass and the vocals aren't completely upfront.

Finally, the guy reesponsible for the mixing has woken up.

Firewind is not bad ... and the stream looks good in 720.

Sounds like everybody is having tuning problems today. That harmony in "Till The End of Time" sounds terrible

Something felt off at that twin-guitar intro for 'Till the end of time'.

This is the first time I'm listening to Firewind. They seem okay and this seems like a good way to pass the time right now.

Edit: Yeah, Spiner202 - definitely a tuning issue.

The lineup is meh. Going to probably only watch Municipal Waste, Whitechapel and Slayer in the stream.

Speaking of Municipal Waste, they sound thin as fuck in the live stream.

Unfortunately, I missed Dark Funeral but thought Firewind sounded great. First time I've ever heard Voivod live, sounds cool so far.

Lagging like hell right now, even though I reduced the quality to 380.

Yeah it's lagging even at low rates.

Audio seems to working fine, the video keeps freezing from time to time.

I thought it was just that my internet sucks in general, and today especially (been having trouble with other websites too). Even at 240, it breaks up constantly. Well, at least it's not just me :P

Um...the stream doesn't work at all for me. All I get is an ad.

Edit: I'm going to assume that King Diamond is on at this point and the stream is over. Oh well. Better luck tomorrow I guess.

Just check the schedule; if the feed is just showing an ad, it's because there's no broadcasted show at that time. Remember that it's UK time, so that's 5 hours ahead of eastern time.

3 Inches of Blood's set was pretty inspiring, and the sound quality is much better than yesterday morning's. I wish Wacken did a stream like this.
