Just finished

Decapitation - Winds of Creation

and about to start on Nihility.

I'm seeing them tomorrow supporting Lamb of God, and never having listened to their earlier stuff, thought I ought to check it out. Really solid.

Have fun. I saw this show about a week or so ago and Decapitation slayed. They played several songs off of Carnival and Organic also if you want to continue to prepare. Lamb Of God was deafening. :)

Bathory - The Wind Of Mayhem

Classic Bathory never disappoints.

I'm indifferent about them now, gravitating towards minor annoyance about their undeserved popularity. Still, not a glorious chapter in my biography.

An assortment of Storm Large songs

Forgot about this chick (she was on that ancient reality show Rockstar: Supernova-- remember that?). I used to listen to her shit all the time, and I remembered her suddenly. Still good shit. Pretty diverse and wild stuff.

Black Sabbath - Zeitgeist

The guitar from 3:35 onward has a Planet Caravan vibe to it which, of course, rules. \m/

Shining (Nor) - Healter Skelter

My first contact with the band. I'm not sure how to explain how it feels, but it's basically like explosive mindfuck which feels good.

Inugami Circus-Dan "Kami-No-Inu"

Sounds promising so far. Just what I need, another Japanese band with a sprawling discography to rape my credit card. :P

Cryptborn - In The Grasp Of The Starving Dead

This is one HELL of an ep. Crushing, crushing Swedeath hitting all the right spots. Fuck the haters of revivalism.

LOL!

Wild Autumn Wind from (2013) Caladan Brood - Echoes of Battle.
Strong Summoning vibe BUT... I don't think they have the same quality.

Ryan Bingham - Sunshine

A bit hammy, but I like the production and his sense for the roamin' plains of old...sounds kind of like a modern white boy pretending to be an outlaw but hey, I liked Crazy Heart, I can't really say much.

Nothing will ever knock Mob Rules off the top of the Sabbath pile, for me at least.

Motörhead - Born to Raise Hell, off Bastards

This album's a bit too front-packed for its own good, but when it hits the spot, it hits hard.

"Rose Croix" -
Rose Croix

A little known New Weird Americana(?)/ Martial Industrial group from the states. It's eerie stuff, I really hope I get the chance to see them at Stella Natura this year.

NP: Helloween - Straight Out Of Hell

An album with some really good songs ('World of War', the title track), marred by some mediocre stuff ('Wanna Be God', 'Waiting for the Thunder') and one true abomination ('Asshole'). In other words, some of the tracks could fit on a best-of, the rest is pretty worthless.

Queued:

Secrecy - Art in Motion (first listen)

Really no idea what to expect. Just found this in my iTunes library with a genre tag of 'progressive metal', which can mean anything. At least it's not going to be djent, being from the early 90s.

Dream Theater - Images and Words

The only truly great DT album. Awake is good too.

David Bowie - Heroes

Needs no introduction.

Paradox - Fragile Alliance

German power metal might not typically stray far from the archetype, but it so happens to be an immensely enjoyable archetype for me. First listen to this album. This song also has a pretty unique lyrical bent for metal (An Alzheimer's patient slowly losing the battle against his own brain).

Powerglove - Dr Wiley Stage 1

Holy crap, this is fun. Basically a metal version of a Mega Man song.

Neither I to see them live at this weekend's Hellfest!

Thurisaz from (1997) Graveland - Following the Voice of Blood.
Interesting mixture of old and new Graveland!

Thrawsunblat - We, The Torchbearers

It's like David Gold came back to life to make an album between Woods II and III.

Alrakis - Gas und Staub zwischen den Sternen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POD3riJvL18

Some incredibly thick atmospheric cosmic black metal from 2011. It's like traveling on a sea of stars into a black hole and not knowing what exactly is on the other side...

Severe Torture - Grave Condition

Nice BDM that has an old-school feel to it. I prefer their first two albums over the three later one, but this slays nonetheless

Helmet - In the Meantime

Those riffs, Page Hamilton's yell, just so aggressive. I remember loving this song years and years ago before I even got into metal. I think this might even be the song that got me to realize that I love heavy music.

Lethargy- Discography

god I'm so glad I'm finally able to have any lethargy. It's so goddamn good, anyone who's a fan of Human Remains or maybe Uphill Battle should look it up.

Edguy - Ministry of Saints

Still kick ass. Derivative of Bruce Dickinson's "Freak," but that just means they are both awesome songs.

Lord Belial - Divide Et Impera

Lord Belial are really fun! Not as much fun as Ragnarok when it comes to cheesy melodic black metal, but fun.
