DEAD AWAKEN (Sweden) "Where Hope Turns Dripping Red" CD review by http://abortmag.com

Image

By Ruthless

Having self-released five previous demos, this Sweedish death metal act formed in 2002 saw numerous lineup changes most recently consisting of ex members of fallen Swedish band Abhoth. Dead Awaken have shared the stage with powerhouse bands like Vomitory, Aborted and Behemoth, to name a few. Dead Awaken finally get to take the stage themselves and release their nine track debut full length offering through Abyss Records. Appropriately fitting cover art prepares you for the catastrophic awakening this album has to offer.

Right off the bat, this album blasts you in the face with what the Swedish do best – assaulting, brutal death metal. This album is truly refreshing straight up old school death metal with added touches of American death metal influence. The production is strong and unblemished leaving every instrument easy to get lost in. Ranging from mid to slow tempos, this death metal attack brings you forth to the depths of WWII. “Where Hope Turns Dripping Red” offers a healthy dose of technicality in their guitar melodies without being overly wanky. The strong and powerful bass dominates like a tank as the drums are evidently forceful. Vocals are low and menacing growls lacking diminutive variation being the only plausible complaint. Opening track “Carnivore” stands out amongst them all with triumphantly rolling tremolo riffs while track “Rocket Symphony” crushingly slow intro bleeds well into the bands use of melodic melodies. However releasing the previous five demos and finally their first full length, it is eminent that this band has a lot to offer in the near future and surely a band to look out for.

The GATES OF SLUMBER (U.S.) "...the Awakening" CD review by http://www.concreteweb.be

Image

By Cosmicmasseur

The Gates Of Slumber is a doom metal band from Indianapolis, USA. Their band name is taken from the Cianide song “Gates of Slumber” from the album A Descent Into Hell.

The Gates Of Slumber’s 2004 debut is one of the band’s albums to receive a much-deserved reissue. The most obvious influences that come into play are Saint Vitus and Manilla Road. Just listen to that guitar tone reminiscent of the mighty Dave Chandler. For a debut, The Awakening is a very strong offering, greatly hinting at what the band was to become with ensuing releases. The debut basically defines all that The Gates of Slumber stands for to this day, and features some real classics “The judge” and “The burial”. Additionally to the 7 original songs we also get 1 bonus song “The cloacked figure”, which automatically let you unroll your prayer carpet!!!

If you don’t already have the original, then it’s an album worth checking out.

FESTER (Norway) "A Celebration of Death" CD review by Blackened Death Metal Zine

Image

By OCCULTBLACKMETAL

Fester are a band from Norway that has had a couple of their albums as well as being interviewed by this zine with a musical style that combines black, doom, and death metal together and this is a review of their 2012 reunion album "A Celebration Of Death" which was released by Abyss Records.

Drums range from slow to mid paced drumming with not much in the way of fast playing or blast beats and on the last song they have an industrial feeling to them, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the synths which only utilized briefly they sound very dark and have the feeling of a horror film soundtrack.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced riffs that combine black, doom and death metal together with some dark sounding melodies as well as a small amount of thrash riffing as well as some industrial on the remix while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black/death metal guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars which are only utilized briefly they use finger picking to enhance the darkness of the music.

Vocals are mostly pitched black metal screams with some deep death metal growls being used at times, while the lyrics cover dark and occult themes with one song being written in Norwegian, as for the production it has a very powerful, dark and heavy sound to it.

In my opinion this is a great comeback album from Fester that is alot more heavier and less experimental than their last recording, and if you are a fan of this band, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rites Of Ceres" "The Black Tower" "I'll Hunt You Down" and "A Face For A Funeral". RECOMMENDED BUY.

MAAX (U.S.) "Unholy Rock & Roll" DIGI CD review by http://www.canadianassault.com

Image

By Patrick

This is a band I have been hearing and seeing a lot about the last few months so I was eager to hear this cd when it arrived with the Abyss promo's. With a title like "unholy rock and roll" it shouldn't take a genius to figure out what style of music this band plays. Dirty, filthy old school blackened thrash with a lot of rock and roll influences especially with their catchy guitars. Hyper-speed yet very catchy and memorable guitar riffs and solo's intertwined with equally as catchy and fast paced drumming that keep the pace moving nicely and never lets it get boring or too slow. Vocals are a mix between blackened screams and outbursts of deeper growls. Maax are a band that know how to play and craft old-school sounding black metal and make it sound like sheer perfection. If you enjoy blackened thrash with rock influences look past all the posers and pick up Maax's unholy rock and roll today!!

ROCKING CORPSES (Finland) "Rock 'n' Rott" CD review by http://www.avenoctum.com

Image

By Martin Harris

Mixing blues, rock and death metal really shouldn’t work at all, but on the whole it does on this debut from Finnish zombie rockers Rocking Corpses. Comprised of the duo Tony D.K. on vocals/guitar and Leper Laze on vocals/bass. Drums are performed by Vile, who I’m assuming is the same person that did the cover art according to the CD booklet. Loosely based on the concept of a zombie’s post-apocalyptic perspective of human behaviour; the idea works and is actually quite fun, when you read the humourous lyrics covering every eventuality of seemingly normal human behaviour.

Beginning this album is a Finnish funeral hymn apparently and quickly followed by “Up From The Grave” as the gut wrenching vocals are ultra low, like Will from Mortician (remember them). The rock ‘n’ roll feel is dominant with clean vocals being used mainly for the choral parts, which really are catchy as hell and tonally very good. The inclusion of various samples was expected but not so much they detract from the flow of the album. I actually felt there was a hefty Southern states metal ingredient on “Necropolis” during the guitar intro as again the clean vocal elements pervade the chorus and have a slight Chuck Billy twang in their delivery. There are street noises emphasizing the lyrical content as well for added theatre.

For some reason and before I knew it I had written Volbeat during “For Better For Worse” due to the groove laden guitar hooks and beat, and even some boozy Superchrist as well. A promo video exists for “Take For Whiskey”, made up of George A. Romero clips from various zombie films as this number offers a bit of rotting glam on the riffing and has a distinct 80s blood smear about it. “925” is exactly what the title suggests, nine to five routine as viewed by a zombie and is the first tune to begin with clean vocals rather than the bellowing belches. The groove and sleaze has Ramones on it as well as garage dirt rock like Quireboys, believe it or not. The band has a namesake tune that is very heavy and very funny lyrically, covering the ridiculous idea of a band on stage eating each other, damn bizarre. “In The Dead Of Night” definitely has signs of Fireball Ministry, again with silly but funny lyrics and possessing a good solo. Sleazy, gloopy, gnarly and outrageously infectious greets you with “Necrophiliacs”. The tune begins like bar room rock with acoustic guitar then followed by a cracking groove riff and beat and lyrically deals with falling in love with a dead girl; the guy sounds like Glenn Danzig singing along on a bar stool, nodding his head in appreciation. I love this song.

As an album, Rocking Corpses perverse view of the world manifests as contagious heavy rock festering with death metal whilst drowning in bourbon. Check it out and give it plenty of air time to root within your psyche before passing judgement. You will be amply rewarded I assure you.

DAEMONICUS (Sweden) "Deadwork" CD review by http://autothrall.blogspot.com

Image

By autothrall

My previous experience with Daemonicus, their 2009 debut Host of Rotting Flesh, was of a pretty hungry, competent and pummeling young Swedish death metal outfit with a primal energy and production that just didn't manifest into very memorable songs. With Deadwork, they seek to refresh and modernize their songwriting to better results, and I can claim with zero hesitation that that is exactly what they've done here. It's not the most consistent record, and there are a few truly dull grooves or hooks we've all heard a thousand times before, but at the end of the day, there are a few tremendous songs among this bunch which any fan of the style should appreciate; the early signs of a band beginning to flourish.

Daemonicus is not one to eschew melody or variation in a stumbling attempt to recreate Left Hand Path, Slaughter of the Soul or any other Swedish monument, but there's no doubt they've got a lot of influence from Dismember, Grave, Unleashed, Bolt Thrower, Amon Amarth and other Euro gods. The rhythm guitar tone is heavily redolent of that old 90s sound still so popular; muscular enough that it strongmans the simpler grooves, but also pretty polished to pack a punch. The melodies, where they appear, are usually quite good, and rescue what might otherwise be a pretty mediocre matrix of chord progressions; the use such leads and atmospheres often recalls the death & roll oriented acts like Hearse or Desultory, and altogether these elements fashion tracks like "The Grandeur of Total Termination" and "We Feast On Your Flesh" into effective ragers that won't soon escape your thoughts. The drums are bright and splashy, the bass uses a grimy distorted sewer tone to good effect, and as a whole, the production of the album is huge and 'now', not so clean as, say, Twilight of the Thunder God, but nonetheless tight and professional.

The vocals aren't too guttural in nature, more of a visceral, rich snarl imbued with plenty of charisma, and they hold up when he sustains syllables out over the ballast of a chorus groove. Where Deadwork truly worked for me is where those slower, Bolt Thrower-meets-Grave, breakdowns, melodic guitars and vocals all congealed into this epic bruise on the chin; where it became something of multiple, emotional dimensions and not merely a simpler, thuggish exercise in familiar note placement. It's not as dark of an album as you'll hear from other upstarts like Miasmal or Tormented, but at the same time it's mildly more accessible towards the melodic death fans, without sacrificing its churning core aesthetics. There are probably only 3-4 songs here that I'd return to with any regularity, but it's easily a rank or two above its predecessor Host of Rotting Flesh, and I'd recommend it for fans of anything from other newcomers Puteraeon and Entrails to Feral or the latest Desultory record.

Verdict: Win [7.25/10]

FETUS STENCH (Sweden) "Stillbirth" CD review by http://heavymetaltribune.com

Image

By Hongrui

Unlike most of their counterparts, Sweden’s Fetus Stench does not play the style of death metal that their countrymen such as Entombed and Nihilist, along with countless other bands have played in. Honestly (and I can’t stress this enough), hearing one after another band emulating the style that Entombed has created has caused me to be sick and tired of that style, and encountering bands from Sweden is often a rather boring experience. It is rather fortunate then, that Fetus Stench decides to be one of the few bands to buck the trend, with Stillbirth being their debut full length release.

Rather than having the standard Swedish influences, Stillbirth presents a rather strong USDM influence, and the themes of gore on top of the crushing riffs that are unleashed right from the beginning of the album almost reminds listeners of the brutality that bands like Suffocation have released in recent years. And one finds it almost difficult to identify the country of origin of the band (in a good way, of course!). The blistering riffs and speed, and the energy of the band right from the beginning are all rather uncharacteristic of a band out of Sweden.

The technical aspects in the music cannot be overlooked as well, as the riffs that the guitarists execute range from full-on crushing intent to those that can get rather complex. The fretwork of Christoffer is also rather impressive, particularly on the solo on The Outer Island, though such moments do not seem to be the emphasis of the band. The pinch-harmonics-infused riffing on Severe Suffering further brings out that slight brutal death metal influence in the band’s playing, even giving this mid-paced track a slight groove. Drummer Emil in particular stands out in the music, with the energetic, yet precise style of drumming, punishing his kit without any mercy. Bjorte’s gruff vocals only add to the aggression and impact of the overall music. The tightness in the band’s playing also comes through rather clearly to the listener, especially so with the crisp production quality that is on the album, enhancing the overall musical experience of Stillbirth with each of the instruments being rather clear, preventing any of the excellent musicians from being buried in the mix.

The themes of gore and violence only seem to up the intensity of the music, sticking close to their band and album title, and ensures that fans of such gore-themed music will remain entertained throughout, complete with top-quality death metal that is present on Stillbirth. The technical brilliance, the relentless execution of the music and the high intensity have all made Stillbirth an extremely enjoyable listen, and Fetus Stench is certainly a band that I will be looking out for in the future.

BANE (Serbia) "The Acausal Fire" DIGI CD review by http://autothrall.blogspot.se

Image

By autothrall

The first thing that struck me about The Acausal Fire, much like Bane's prior album Chaos, Darkness & Emptiness, is just how Scandinavian an approach they take to their atmospheric, semi-symphonic brand of deathly black metal. The majestic progressions present in their tremolo bursts are redolent of groups like Dissection, Dark Funeral, Marduk and Lord Belial, the vile dissonance of the eerier minor chords was pretty much the standard in the formative works of Norse and Swedish acts through the 90s and beyond, and they're not the sort to shy away from using higher, cleaner production standards than the primordial swamp of grime and wretchedness that inspired them.

However, despite its obvious level of competence and polish, I didn't take much away from their debut. A decent album, sure, but nothing to write home in blood about when there were hundreds of other, similar options through the prior two decades which had already marked out the territory. The Acausal Fire is a superior use of the band's arsenal in just about every department (save maybe the vocals). The Serbians have made better use of their twisting tremolo progressions, and loads of eloquent dual harmonies that create a necessary contrast against the gruesome dual guttural-rasp vocals. Needless to say, there are effortless blasts coursing beneath the rush of the guitars, and the band lean on the faster side of composition, but The Acausal Fire takes plenty of moments to breathe here, and the riff selections are in general far better than those of the prior album. Symphonic elements used in spots like the 'intro' and 'outro' are lavish, moody, orchestral and engrossing, while the gleaming melodies of tunes like "As Chaos Rises" will instantly settle themselves into your memory without much concentration.

Vocals are quite varied here, with the aforementioned grunts and rasps used throughout most of the metallic sequences, backed by excellent, cleaner choirs or the occasional surge into some salacious snarl not unlike you'd have heard from Ihsahn or Dani Filth in their primes. The mix is incredibly, almost surgically pristine, so those who want a lot of mud, reverb and noise in their black metal will not desire to slop from this trough, but personally I'm a fan of both sides of the coin, and have no problem with either when the music's good. And this music IS pretty damn good. Not perfect, surely not unique in the slightest, but very well executed black metal that furthers the Serbians and songwriters. The inclusion of the cover of Dissection's "Night's Blood" is a fitting bonus, not only because that's a great song, but because Bane knows exactly what to do with it; the Swedes were unmistakably one of this band's most fundamental influences. Apart from being brighter, though, it's hardly an unusual re-interpretation. But it doesn't need to be, because the rest of this album leading up to it is quite spectacular of its own right.

Verdict: Win [8/10]

SEPTEKH (Sweden) "Apollonian Eyes" CD EP review by Heavy Metal Time Machine

Image

By Andy

What should one reasonably expect while looking over this EP? I wouldn't blame you if you didn't know as I didn't know and, as such & everything being equal (and blah, blah) I sat on this 4-track release until it started to get ripe and smell! It might have been laziness or the worry that it would be dreadful. Man, I don't know. You'd think the tag, "dirty trashy death metal" might have appealed to me or even the talking points of "influenced by Motörhead & Black Sabbath", but nope, I skipped this one and just now got my crap in order to listen to and review this EP. And? Well, offhand you could call it a punk rawk Motörhead with more of a deathly vocalist. Said vocalist, Nils Grznls Mesekeother, leads this 4-piece band (Guitarist David Wikström, Bassist Patrik Ström and Drummer Staffan Persson round things out) through 15 minutes of the death n' roll, trash metal that's neither great nor ghastly. If anything this third EP from Sweden's Septekh just goes to show that garage metal can be found anywhere around the world.

HUMANGLED (Italy) "Odd Ethics" CD EP review by Global Metal Apocalypse

Image

By RHYS STEVENSON

Italian Death Metal veterans Humangled made light effort of crafting their next release from thin air, their 2012 EP 'Odd Ethics' spews more and more of the organic sound they made for themselves over the years and delivers a fistful of guttural gluttonous music that signals more is to come from this five-piece monstrosity. Lets face it, even a legendary goalkeeper like Gianluigi Buffon could not save himself from being mauled down by this Tuscany armada, and that's putting it mildly. The thing is, although the muffled sound that exists on this release may put some people off, the general feeling is one of celebration as the underground champions once again a divine release of sensational music. It may be 'Odd Ethics' that Humangled employ, but boy does it work. The moral is, resistance is futile, this is the face of Italian Death Metal and it is not leaving anytime soon.

SEPTEKH (Sweden) "Apollonian Eyes" CD EP review by http://www.metalwave.it

Image

By Fallenangel

The Swedes Septekh reach their second EP entitled "Apollonian eyes" and released by Abyss Records.
quartet The Scandinavian proposes a typically Swedish death metal with thrash metal influences several old style, from the first notes dell'opener "Apollonian eyes" we are in front of a band that knows his stuff, dilaniandoci eardrums with a powerful sound and characterized by direct ultradistorti guitar riffs and a rhythm section that alternates with no difficulty moments fast and violent parties most cadenziate and reflective.
With "Burn it to the ground "the band shifts the focus towards more thrash shores thanks to a vocal line to a less extreme and more melodic sound while not neglecting the speizzante energy that characterizes the entire duration of the EP.
Whilst following the main dictates death, Our undoubtedly possess a strong personality and irrepressible which is evident both in the phase of songwriting that for what concerns the execution would describe nearly flawless and without any particular stylistic lapses.
Let me be clear, the Septekh invented nothing, but despite this their music sounds "cool" to our ears and can not lapse into us even after several plays in a row. The only real fault I can find in this work is a record that certainly does not shine for clean sound and has the flaw of having the volume levels of the various instruments just mixed to perfection, thus emerge in some circumstances , the sound of a low far too powerful.
This "Apollonian eyes" is therefore an excellent work that confirms the validity of the Swedish combo in all respects, it is true that less than 20 minutes are very few to fully understand a band, but, in this case, we may still get a fairly complete picture of the ability of the quartet.
highly recommend this work to all lovers of metal, waiting for the first full-length album, which I imagine will not tarry too long to get.

Rating: 81/100

DAEMONICUS (Sweden) "Deadwork" CD review by http://www.extreminal.com

Image

By Battlepig

A further production from the house of Abyss Records saw in October 2012 the light of the day. I am talking about the Swedish band DAEMONICUS who want to to take their cd "Deadwork" under the Metal folks.

What does my Metal ears hear here? Swedish Old School Melodic Metal. Compact, partially halting melodic riffs cohere with Death Metal sound frameworks. These vary from mid tempo through to the upper mid tempo area. Thus the songs receive a lot of energy and animation. Energetic and going forwards it goes at "Deadwork" flat out! Powerful doubleblast drumming reinforces this impression. Supported by distinctive growls develops here genuine Swedish Death Metal with no ifs, no buts. The listener gets a litle bit time to be a biteasy on his neck muscles by the variable use of tempi (For example at the song "The Hymn Of Ubo Sathla") in order to continue headbanging with highspeed the next moment. Recorded technically adept you realize here that it concerns at DAEMONICUS of no novices. DAEMONICUS manage it to carry the Old School Death Metal sound of the 90-ies into the year 2012 and to sound as well fresh and not outdated. Thereby they develop a familiar sound which nevertheless owns sufficient independence not to end up as plagianism. I can only recommend DAEMONICUS!!! Buy "Deadwork". It's worth it!!!!

SEPTEKH (Sweden) "Apollonian Eyes" CD EP review by From Beyond Fanzine

Image

By Glibert V

After a very good acceptable ep on "The Seth Avalanche", this time we pull to hear the "Apollonian Eyes" both with Abyss Records. Performing both comparisons between the two, we can conclude that these Swedes are another hidden gem of many swarm among the different ranges of metal over there in that country they touch a death 'roll very well crafted and unconventional mixed with some slight thrash seasonings make fresh listening yet comforting, and why?, simple, not boring compositions are not monotonous or repetitive, ultra sound is not digital, the guitar sounds like a guitar, drums, bass battery low and the voices are not perceived at any time forced these criteria, it is very pleasant listening and give confidence to hear about the great work numerous times and expect the long duración.Todas and each of the five pieces are excellent from being the title of the album to irreversible like to close with a flourish "Vlad Tepes".

The GATES OF SLUMBER (U.S.) "...the Awakening" CD review by http://www.allabouttherock.co.uk

Image

By Ian Markowitz

The Gates of Slumber is a band I had been fortunate enough to have heard through a friend, but I never had a chance to really sink my teeth into any of their releases. They bring a rather unique feel to a pretty saturated genre. Sure, they are plenty bluesy, but there's a lot more than your standard blues riffs here.

Along with the cover art, the whole album feels kinda like a Conan The Barbarian comic. The songs tell a story and each one is a chapter in the overall concept. They didn't go overboard and fall into the trap of losing focus on the music though. Each song stands on its own and the interlude track is even well written and well placed. The vocals are pretty standard doom fare, nothing astounding chops-wise, but creates a great atmosphere. Sounds kinda like a lower, more gravelly, angrier Ozzy. The guitar solos are frequent and extensive. Each one starts somewhere and goes somewhere and seems to sort of move the story along. Further, they do something I don't think I've heard before: they have harmonized sections where both guitarists play together and then for a few measures they'll diverge into separate and distinct melodies only to merge as a harmony again shortly after. It's an ambitious maneuver and usually works great. Most of the album is very groovy and fun.

Now we get to the production, which I avoided mentioning before because I wanted to establish how much I like the album first. The whole thing sounds old and classic, but not entirely in a good way. I find that the guitar and bass tones are overall kind of dry. It's not terrible production by any means, but it's rough enough that it undercuts my enjoyment. Further, they clearly recorded without a click track, and given the ambitious nature of the drummer, it occasionally results in sounding like he is attempting technical feats he isn't quite capable of. I'm sure he could play it with a metronome fine, but as it is, it sounds sloppy and I can't focus on anything else when it happens. Thankfully, it only happens about three times in the whole album, and the rest is a psychadelic groove-fest.

The album as a whole attempts a lot, and succeeds more than it fails. Each musician is good at what they do and has clever and unique ideas to communicate. It's groovy journey through the rebirth, trial, torture and redeath of some apparently unfortunate individual and it's a great time. If you love downtempo, blues-laden rock, don't let my criticisms dissuade you; despite its flaws, this is a highly enjoyable album.

E-Money out

BANE (Serbia) "The Acausal Fire" DIGI CD review by http://pestwebzine.com

Image

By Adrian

Second and possibly last album from this very good Serbian band, a revelation of the 2010's in European Black Death Metal; maybe last album because the leader, Branislav, relocated to Canada last year and the future of Bane is uncertain. "The Acausal Fire" confirms what their debut, "Chaos, Darkness & Emptiness", promised: a very tight band made of extremely talented musicians taking their time to create memorable, full of melody and dark atmospheres Black Death Metal. Except for the awful snare drums' sound everything is perfect on this new opus, and this may probably be one of the most menacing, offensive and at the same time melodic Extreme Metal album of 2012. As the tracks flow you're discovering more and more interesting and mind-blowing elements that will keep your attention tight till the end. the best thing about Bane is their versatility and courage to add multiple melodic elements and at the same time their ability to keep things energetic and aggressive. Thumbs up, excellent album!

DEAD AWAKEN (Sweden) "Where Hope Turns Dripping Red" CD review by http://www.snoozecontrol.be

Image

By Jordy

Dead Awaken is a Swedish Death Metal band that surprisingly been around for a while in the scene. The band rushed into the Death Metal world in the year 2002. The only band member that currently still falls short of this early period is the singer and guitarist Jörgen Kirstensen. As some great bands from the seventies and eighties, the famous Guns N 'Roses , the band knew many changes in terms of members making their debut album still failed to materialize. However, the Holy Trinity that the band today raises to a higher level than ever before was only created in 2010, following the departure of Bass guitarist Andreas "Fluff" Moors.

Anno 2013 the band consists of three former members of the band ABHOTH, a Death Metal band from the 90s'. As lead singer is still Jörgen Kirstensen, on drums and Mats Blückert as bass guitarist Magnus Wall. Together, these three men spent an entire time in the studio and released in April, sending the world a few demos their first album with dark title "Where hope turns dripping red".

This album combines old ABHOTH influences with pure Death Metal and a hint of Trash Music, an ideal combo for any metal fan. The album contains some gems including the intro song " Carnivore "that'll blow your mind from the first riff. Throughout the album you are sucked into a trance in which your blood begins to boil and you can not help but enjoy the pure ecstasy that the music you provide. Sung is not very much, as in most Death Metal albums, but that's just the strength of songs like " Envy the Dead "that take you into drum beats that make you accelerate heartbeat and where gescream only but serves as a bonus. In short, a band that definitely needs to be further monitored and that still will return to the scene often.

TORTURE DIVISION (Sweden) "Evighetens Dårar" DIGI CD review by http://www.metalchroniques.fr

Image

By Supercastor

Formed by Jörgen Sandström (former Entombed or Grave), Lord K Philipson from God Among Insects or Dark Funeral and Tobias Gustafsson from Vomitory or God Among Insects, Torture Division is a Swedish band who already makes our mouth water when we see its line-up. But is it only one all star bands with no real taste like many others or is it a real band tearing ours ears apart?

Straight from the beginning of this Evighetens Dårar, you’ll have no other choice than choose the second option. Mixed by Dan Swano, this opus is all about Sweden and its unique death metal sound. Well, when I say opus, it’s more of a compilation. The band decided indeed to get its three last demos under one and only compilation. Whether on groovier songs like “Ravishing Rampage Sluts” or on beastly songs like “The Axe Murderer” (9 seconds and it’s over!), Torture Division shows talent and mastery up to what we could expect from such a line-up. Even if we could regret the rather short length, Evighetens Dårar is a Swedish metal album like we love: aggressive, beastly, straight-forward, oppressive but with a melodic touch here and there, more “exotic” elements like the Swedish lyrics on the eponymous song. But Torture Division’s metal is also live-made: songs and riffs are as sharp-cut as possible with lots of breaks, pauses, blastbeats, midtempos which must perfectly recreate all this profusion of energy throughout the album.

One all star band which does not content itself with the names of its members in order to exist and which decides to work had so the band will be recognized for the quality of its metal and not for its member? That’s what Torture Division is about. Let’s hope this effort will continue for long and maybe we’ll get a new album soon? I steadfastly wait for it !

MAAX (U.S.) "Unholy Rock & Roll" DIGI CD review by Mundo Rock Heavy

Image

By mundorockheavy

With a heavy metal laden dark enough to appear black in these American vocal Maax, a group heavily influenced by the sound of bands like Venom Voivod or the first, with some high doses of rock'n'roll in his image and proposed that put in a similar seat belt and also the latest Chrome Division. Pure metal hesitated pichanguero totally drunk and yet so fierce that causes addiction easily. In fact also have a touch of the same early NWOBHM Venom, or people as bleak as Atomkraft or Deepswitch. As we pulled out of hell great tracks in the form of "Coldest Steel", "Fight with fire", "Do what thou wilt" an incontestable riffero attack by Kyle Kreider and Brett Schlägel that will make anyone hallucinate hallucinate even with return to sound more and more primegenios more primitive metal Satanists. Needless to say, husky voice and corrosive Tim Green, who will make the floor shake him Cronos himself. Other pieces of topics are "Maax" and that thrashero "Rot 'n' roll." Pure black metal heavy true only for wicked souls and not afraid to go into hell to find these Maax with this second installment. More info and details and in http://www.myspace.com/maaxmetal http://www.reverbnation.com/maax.

ENTRENCH (Sweden) "Inevitable Decay" CD review by http://www.metalteamuk.net

Image

By Chris Davison

Those of us with a nostalgic bent, who were lucky enough to be there first time round for the thrash revolution will remember that it wasn’t all big puffy high top trainers, Bermuda shorts or Bay-Area chugathons. There were actually several sites of the thrash revolution hosted around the world, each with their own distinct flavour. Perhaps the most distinctive of these were the Teutonic thrashers, with their own razor sharp take on the genre, acid-gargled vocals and complete disdain for the niceties of the music world, such as a decent production, or the musical fripperies of their transatlantic cousins.
After a whopping five demo releases, Swedish power-trio Entrench have unleashed this, their first foray into the album world, with “Inevitable Decay”. It would be fair to say that this lot have spent much more time worshipping at the altar of early Kreator, Sodom and Destruction than the big four. As a consequence, the eight tracks here are all played like it’s their last time to play before the Armageddon, each track being whipped towards the finishing post at a massive rate of knots. They concentrate on the velocity, sharp edge of the Germanic brand of thrash riffing and brutality and aggression of the first wave of those enthusiastic young gentlemen with such dodgy hair. (Seriously, can anyone remember the Tom Angelripper pudding bowl hair do? Sadly, it never caught on in the metal fashion scene). The speed of the tracks isn’t the only thing to talk about though – and indeed, although there are a mere eight tracks on display here, the overall running time clocks in at forty minutes, so you won’t be surprised to learn that there are plenty of epic moments sprinkled among the sweaty headbanging fury. “Where Only Ruins Remain”, for example, manages to scatter some tantalisingly mature guitar touches among the head-down thrash-a-thon.
Production wise, this is as you would expect – some seriously raw, primal production which tends towards the tinnier end of the spectrum, which extenuates the scalpel sharp cut of the guitar tone, the harsh rasping voice of Fredrik Pellbrink and the biscuit-tin drum sound. Having listened to it a few times over the last couple of weeks – and I can confirm that this album makes it very hard to stick to a speed limit while driving – the album is definitely better listened to while under the influence of some alcoholic beverages. I would say it would sound better while wearing a bullet belt and afro, to keep in with that authentic Destruction vibe, but alas, my hair isn’t what it used to be, and the bullet belt could do with some serious reinforcements being sent since I last wore it. Great fun stuff, with no other pretensions than to make you bang your head.

HYPERBOREAN (Sweden) "The Spirit of Warfare" CD review by http://darkdoomgrinddeath.blogspot.com

Image

By OccultBlackMetal

Hyperborean are a band from Sweden that plays a very melodic style of black metal and this is a review of their 2011 album "The Spirit Of Warfare" which was released by Abyss Records.

Drums range from slow, midpaced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beatd, while the bass playing has a strong and somewahat powerful tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the keyboards when tey are utilized briefly they bring a very tragic feel to the music.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast melodic black metal riffs that are also technical at times with some thrash death and traditional metal influences, while the lead guitars are very melodic, progressive nd technical metal guitar solos, as for the accoustic guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking and full chords to bring another element of war to the music.

Vocals are very high pitched black metal screams with some ocassional deep death metal grows, while the lyrics cover Lovecraft style thems and war as for the production it has a very dark and heavy sound to it.

In my opinion Hyperborean are very good melodic black metal band, and if you are a fan of this style you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Chanelling The Spirit Of Warfare" "Viper" and "The Sick Man Of Europe". RECEMMONDED BUY.

FESTER (Norway) Interview by Agathokakological Webzine

Image

By agathokakological666

1. Hello and who is this from Fester?

At the moment this is the lineup: Jon Bakker (bass), Thomas Andresen (vox) and Tiger Mathisen (guitars/vox)

2. The band formed in 1989, could you please give us a BRIEF history?

Released two demos in '91 and '92, two albums ('92 and '94) before we went under the radar to reunite in 2010 with a democompilation and by reissuing our first studioalbums. A new album was recorded and released last year.

3. Tell us about some shows and gigs you guys have done, have you played any festivals worth mentioning?

FESTER has never enjoyed playing live, or better: Tiger doesnt enjoy playing live.. We did some shows in the days with Battle, Cadaver, Taake, Enslaved, Algol to mention some. Jon plays bass in Kamfar as well and tours the world all the time.. Ha ha

4. I see you released a new album last year on Abyss Records, are there any plans for a follow up album?

We are all set two record a new album, and Even material for yet another...Propably record in in the autumn. It will be a hell of a ride!! A consept record evolving Norwegian executions in the 16th century..

5. What are your lyrical concepts, do you stick to kind of the same themes?

The new stuff evolve the mentioned theme. As for the previous albums themes like witches, ancient rites, norse belives, nature, frustration and darkness are themes that seems to come back as themes. Often written as stories in 1. Person.

6. Tell us about the recording of your latest album.

We recorded everything but the drums in a local studio in Askim. We used old amps and guitars to create a dark atmospheric sound. Our producer aimed for a cold and eerie aproach as well, and I feel he nailed it:) . As for the use of an unexperiensed to metal drummer (Grammy nominated jazzdrummer Audun Kleive) he did the drums on first take in his own studio-Audiopol- to create a "in one with the music" kinda feel.

We started the Recordings in January and recorded on and off for 6 months...

7. I also noticed that Abyss Records and Iron Bonehead re-released your first 2 albums, are these much different from the original pressings?

The album had never been given a vinyl treatment and we surrelly felt it was about time!! Different layout as well.

The cd reissues came as digies. Winter of Sin kept it's original cover, but different lay out. Silence was all new. Both releases came with 16 page booklets with stories from the early Norwegian Scene, linernotes about every song and a live bonus from 91.

8. Who is in the line up now?

Mentioned

9. What can people expect from Fester in the future, do you expect to be more active then you have been over the past decade or so?

As mentioned we are currently working on a consept release. It will be a mind alterning release both for the buyers ears, eyes and mind....

10. Thank you for the interview, any closing words thoughts, information on contacting the band or where to get your merchandise.

Thanx to you too. Buy physical formats and keep the scene alive!!!

SEPTEKH (Sweden) "Apollonian Eyes" CD EP review by http://www.hardrockinfo.com

Image

By Jimmy Blom

Brutal and primitive death metal. Perfect when I come home angry after work. This is definetely worth checking out. Especially if you're the angry kind of person.
This album was originally released on January 4 already, but just in the States. Now it's time for Europe to get a taste of this band. So don't miss this opportunity. Go out and find it at once! That's an order kid!

SEPTEKH (Sweden) Interview by http://battlehelm.com

Image

By Anders

OK. Let us start with the name. What is the meaning to it and why the choice of it for a band name?

S – Well to us it was pretty clear. Fate intervened. In the process of finding a name, Georges granny (blessed be her name) gave us the obvious answer. A book on ancient civilizations, ancient in it self, from her dusty shelf, gave several of the names of deities preceding the later Egyptian god of chaos and wilderness. Supposedly (none of us an egyptologist) a whole cluster of them was bunched up into what the Osirians called Seth or Suetekh. One of them: Septekh. A boar god associated with single-mindedness, deserts, beer and uncontrollable natural forces (and people with red hair would you believe it). Something clicked. Et Voila.

You’ve just released another EP. What is so great about releasing EPs and not a full length album?

S – Well. We’ve gotten a lot of questions like that. In recording the Apollonian Eyes EP a process was initiated that led to the creation of the material that is now to be our first full length album. To release the songs in any other form/order seemed unthinkable at the time. And is still simply the wrong way to go. Even given the amount of time it’s taken to finally get it released. To us there is a line of thought to adhere to here. One given to us and not for us tamper with. There is a plan and we don’t wanna F it up.

Would you say that you have a traditional Swedish death metal sound? What has been the single most important factor in shaping your sound?

S – I wouldn’t say that exactly. Local press don’t seem get our stuff at all.
Our sound is to me an obvious product of the feel and influences we brought with us initially. Some Maiden, Motörhead and Ministry on the guitars. Some Frost, Fenriz and Grohl on the drums. Add a sprinkle of Luisiana and a touch of arctic isolation, filter it through the twisted mind of a man possessed and we’re pretty much there. But then of course that’s the insiders view. Probably sounds a whole lot different from where you’re standing.

Could you explain the title “Apollonian Eyes” to us?

S – The title refers to the Apollonian Eye as opposite to the Dionysian Ear or the Cthonian hand. It’s one of the centerpieces in the play we want to describe. The four tracks on the EP represents aspects of its effects.

How does the title fit with the art work? How important is the art work to you guys?

S – Very important. The cover of Apollonian Eyes is Hr Wilfred der Honegs of Infanteri Regiment Herwarth von Bittenfeldt no 13. A fictional character designed to carry this part of the story.
Just as the cover art for The Seth Avalanche is an African painted wolf. An extraordinary animal with some traits that envelops the gist of what we want to convey.

When I think about lyrics I think that they must be the hardest to write. How much of a struggle are the lyrics to you? How do you avoid for them to sound corny?

S – Well we don’t try that hard really. When the heart of what you set out to capture is there any residual “cornyness” sort of boils away. What’s important is to aim true setting out to write them. The rest sort of comes in the wake of momentum gathered. Never underestimate the power of workflow.

Does being Swedish actually mean anything on the big scale? Does it give you a head start?

S – It gave us the eye of Mr Ferguson at Abyss for a start. And for that we are thankful. Being Swedish in this genre seems to resonate a certain way and if we can draw anything from that all the better. In the grander scheme of things though, probably not by much.

What are your thoughts on being on a label that has a lot of Swedish bands signed to it?

S – It gives us a bunch of potential partners in crime for future ventures. There has been some talk of creating a local Scandinavian Abyss Records Event. Other than that; can’t blame them. A lot of quality metal acts have spawned out of here.

How pleased are you with this new record? Did it turn out the way your thought it would?

S – We are really pleased with the way it turned out. Mr Eric Forssberg at Mid Town Music has done an exemplary job as always. The two year delay has yet to reveal it’s significance. Have a few hints though.

What do you see in the future?

S – We see more activity playing live as well as receiving the basic contents of our next album.
In the more immediate future lies the release of a video for “Burn It To The Ground” from the Apollonian Eyes EP, that should illustrate further the significance of the EP. TEASER HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2GWvwX ... detailpage
As for right now we are in the middle of mixing our debut full length. Thirteen tracks presenting the result of two years of toiling in obscurity on the Dark Island.
Always keeping our aim true, our ears to the beating heart of SEPTEKH. Our Apollonian Eyes trained to those beaconing treasures in the dark. True to the flow. True to the plan.
Regards: Nils GRZNLS Meseke. Vocals.

DEAD AWAKEN (Sweden) "Where Hope Turns Dripping Red" CD review by http://www.allabouttherock.co.uk

Image

By Ian Markowitz

Dead Awaken bring a full length release which oozes old-school groove. They are very cozy with the older ways of death metal and they do it well. It's mostly mid-tempo and thrashy with the occasional slow track or breakdown (suffo-breakdown, not waking the cadaver) and the occasional grind beat. They sneak in some evil melodies and solos reminiscent of Slayer but it all blends well.

The production fits the older style but isn't flat, it's crunchy and sizzle-y. It doesn't slam my face, but then, it's not slam. Everything is pretty clear but well rounded, not clinical. The bass has an Alex-Webster-like tone and he plunks along in a similar way. The vocals are medium-low bellows somewhere in the area of Suffocation but with more variation and less thunder.

More than the production or the musicianship, what really sticks out are the songs. Everything they do feels very intentional and like they're comfortable with it. The Dimebag-esque breakdown on "Mudhell" doesn't feel forced or out of place, even though there is nothing else like it on the album. Each song does its own thing while working smoothly with the rest of the album. The songs are pretty distinct, though there were one or two places where I felt like I had heard a riff or breakdown before. But for the most part, each song has it's own feel and there's usually something awesome that occurs. That is to say, the first track has a drum fill with a polyrhythm in it and then later has a dope suffocation style breakdown. "Kingdom of Damnation" has verses that are just vocals, bass and drums, which is pretty unconventional and badass. Each song has its own little thing.

Now that I've told you what I love, I'll tell you what I hate. The drum production is unsightly. That's the nicest way I can think to say it. It sounds ok more often than not, but whenever he does a grind beat, the snare drum is somewhere between quiet and silent. It's not on every song, but it's often enough to drive me nuts. You can trigger your snare. You can turn up the snare volume in the mix. Or, you can practice until you can play faster. All three are acceptable solutions but to do none of the above is unforgivable. That's how I feel, if you don't mind your grind beats implied more than heard, disregard this paragraph.

For all I said just then, this cd is pretty good. It's fun and catchy straight through. The choruses are articulate and well written. The songs are well structured but far from predictable. If you're a fan of the style, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

SCORE - 6.5 out of 10

DEAD AWAKEN (Sweden) Interview by http://battlehelm.com

Image

By Anders

Swedish death metal! You never tire of the old Gods and thankfully there are new to be discovered, like DEAD AWAKEN.

When you were to name the band how tough was it to come up with a name that would be a declaration of intent?

-Actually, the guys had come up with the name, when I joined. I think the name was natural to them, when they heard it.

How tough is it to be a Swedish death metal band today? Do you feel that you get extra attention just because you are Swedish?

-We probably get some extra attention due to fact that we’re Swedish. However, despite what some reviewers seem to think, we’re not heavily influenced by bands like Entombed. We like and respect those bands, but we never really tried to sound like them. We always tried to do things our way and always leaned more towards U.S style bands.

How did you end up where you are today? What kind of journey has it been so far?

-Oh, the journey actually started in 1988, when I started my first band, Abhoth. Our current drummer is the old Abhoth drummer, so we’ve got a lot of history under our wings. We’ve seen trends and bands come and go. It’s been a bumpy ride, with lots of line-up changes, etc. Things begin to feel really stabile now. I’m happy!

How pleased are you with your latest record work? What kind of expectations do you have on it?

-We’re happy with it. That was the best we could do, when we recorded it. We’re really looking forward to recording our next album, as we’ve learned a lot. Some things will be done very differently, the next time. We hope to get out and play live more, as we’ve had mostly great reviews!

When you sign with a label today what is that you expect them to do that you can’t yourself?

-Good question! We’re really happy with Abyss and Dan. It’s great to have someone with experience handle most of the promotion and distribution.

Ever since the 80s Swedish metal has been treasured but now Sweden is leading the pack. Does that fact help you in getting the band noticed?

-I’m sure it doesn’t hurt!

How should you rate the interest you get from social media sites? What does it mean in the real world if you gets thousands of thousands likes?

-As the album just got released, the interest is just starting to grow. It’s cool if people like our facebook page, but that doesn’t mean they automatically come to our shows and buy our albums/merch.

Does it help to have a product to show for, physical or not, when you compete for the spot on a tour or anything of that sort?

-Of course it does. We’re used to being labeled a shitty demo band, having a full album out seems to gain you some respect. All of a sudden, you’re considered a “real” band.

As I haven’t been in that situation I have no idea what could be considered a success. What is success to you?

-Tough one. Having an album out is success, in a sense, even if that’s when things get more serious and the demands higher. Going out on tour and watching the crowd go nuts every night, is a kind of success.
Gaining the respect of your peers is also a kind of success.
Having the freedom to play what you like and actually making a living out of it, is a type of success few ever achieve.

What would you like to see the future hold for you?

-Great record sales, getting out to play live more often and recording our next album! Thanks for the interview!

FETUS STENCH (Sweden) "Stillbirth" CD review by http://www.zwaremetalen.com

Image

By Martijn van den Beukel

That fetuses stink know both my mother and the Swedish hakselaren of Fetus Stench only too well. The beauty is that this quartet also even know how models a fucking great album together. I'm sure it's debut Stillbirth will provide it. band of good and especially brutal future Read with me.

You know those albums that have a thick three-quarters full of brutality either full technical ravings lifeless leave the listener. Fetus Stench know both factors, however, to combine very tasty, and that is allowed on Stillbirth hear with conviction. The tight drum lines provide first for quick inimitable entertainment, including enough variety to keep the mess. Fascinating The contrast between a rattling Meat Grinder Flesh Obliteration and nekwervelmartelend Severe Suffering should therefore certainly being. It is also interesting to hear that a (brutal) death metal band at this time'm still fine to come up with relatively simple riffs away. The snarenbezweerders of this gang Scandinavians know just exactly when to be technically straightforward gefriemeld and when the accelerator must be stepped to ensure. Lightness of the whole Automatic bowl you over with the vocal impressions Björte. His raw grunts his concepts to understand and make me think of Ben McCrow moments of The Rotted , thanks in part to the selected timbre example Bren Kommando . The proverbial icing on the brutal cream.

There must be a lot of wants Fetus Stench of the throne will be kicked as my personal favorite newcomer in the year lists. What they still need? That creaky cult hit to keep. The death metal-shore forever foot It seems logical to me that every fan of brutal death metal this a moment when arrested.

Rating: 84/100

ERUPTED (Sweden) Interview by http://www.canadianassault.com

Image

Interview by Patrick with Vocalist Daniel Sundberg May 2013…

Patrick was immediately possessed by the violent debut album of the Swedish band Erupted. They are a relatively new band, only having previously released an ep, but that was under a different name, so this album is their first output and little is known about this band. So Patrick is set out to find more and help expose this promising to the Canadian Assault readers and the UG scene.

Metal hails Daniel! How is the new year starting off for you? Please introduce yourself to the readers?

As this is being written on the evening of Jeff Hanneman's death it feels like this year is off to a pretty shitty start. But as the aeons are shifting we hope this to be the year of the anti-christ and the fall of humanity’s hypocrisy.

At what age did you first start listening to metal? Who were some of the first bands you listened to? Who are some of your current favorites?

Since my brother is into some of the older thrash bands metal has always been a part of my life. The first bands I got really into was Slayer and Metallica. Right now Suffocation, Bloodbath and Exodus have been the permanent bands in every playlists for a while, but overall At the Gates and Death would be the most outstanding.

When did you and the other members of Erupted first meet, what is the current line-up of the band? How would you best describe your music?

I got tremendously drunk in Beyond Hell's rehearsal room at Växjö Death Fest, and I sort of spontaneously joined. We have recently have a shift in drummers, so the one playing on all recordings is Marcus Nieminen, but right now we are rehearsing with Jonte Fetto Holm, who is actually shotting whiskey with me right now. So, Cedrik Petterson, Jonas Davidsson, Jonte Fetto Holm and Tobias
Petterson. And me of course. Our music is what happens when young people who prefer classic death metal get drunk around instruments.

Erupted released their debut cd "In The Grip of Chaos" through Abyss Records how did the band come in contact with the label? Are you happy with the job they have done so far?

I can't remember how we got in contact with Dan, but we have been really pleased with all their work, especially since we have close to no fanbase and is not very noticeable since we don't play very many shows and mostly fuck around (Love the honesty J - Dale).

How has the response been from the press and the fans towards In The Grip of Chaos release?

Very weird. Some praise what others hate, and overall we feel that we with this have in some way proved that taste is very individual. We are ourselves really happy about the reactions we have gotten, both good and bad.

Does the band have shows/tours planned for 2013? If yes where are some places the bands will be playing and touring?

We have no fucking clue. Book us and receive some awesome new drinking buddies. We'll play Säljeryd because it's always awesome!

Who are some bands Erupted have shared the stage with so far? If you could set up a dream show/tour who are some bands you would love to tour/tour play with?

Most notably it would be Avatar back while we were called Beyond Hell, but we've also played with Fester, Beyond Mortality, Void, Saga Incendia, Recreated and Fleshcut that all of you should check out. Dream tour would be unlimited beer and other assorted substances, accompanied by Suffocation, a
re-animated Chuck Schuldiner, Bloodbath with Åkerfeldt and Manowar. Since we would like to bring some company from home we would probably bring Saga Incendia or Planetary Disobedience, thus guaranteeing that we would always have someone to hang with.

In your opinion what is the best and the worst thing about the underground today? And what does the term metal underground mean to you?

The best thing is the people in general, you always meet some new friends at the shows, and the underground in general is still pretty strong in Sweden, so it's just awesome. The worst thing would be the influx of ''unmetal'' cultural over these last years.. Everyone bitching and moaning all the time about irrelevant shit like their pathetic love lives, especially since we're all far better off than most people. Metal is supposed to have a bigger fucking perspective than that stupid shit.. Cunts complaining about school being hard or unfair or all that shit.. fuck them all! The underground is made up of the true metalheads still in this game for the sake of the music and keeping their minds free. So, the underground is synonymous to metalheads, the big majority of the mainstream metalheads are just assholes in disguise.

Erupted come out of the legendary Swedish scene so I was interested in your opinion of the metal scene. How do you feel the scene has changed over the years?

The music has changed towards a cleaner and more technical style, something that we feel is due to the U.S style becoming a bigger influence, but over all the emotion should be the same.

Who are some of your all-time favorite Swedish metal bands? Are there new metal bands you feel the readers should check out soon?

Obituary, Dismember, Grotesque, Birdflesh, Overdeath.. way to many to list.. All the bands mentioned in our list of bands we have gigged with, and of course the dream tour is worth a look! Especially since Beyond Mortality is coming out with a new album soon!

Are you or any of the other members of Erupted currently working/playing with side-bands right now besides Erupted?

Always something new going one for most of us, almost every week. Tobias has started some progressive death metal project and Cedrik and Jonte are in Electric Funeral, which is some doped-up stoner rock thing, and Jonas is probably involved in some black metal stuff.. I think it's called Tyrannosatan (Satanic Dinosaur metal perhaps? - Dale).

Daniel you handle the vocals for the band when did you start singing?

I have no idea.. I have always been screaming at shit, but I think I started growling in 07 or something like that..

Who are some of your favorite vocalists? Also when you are recording or preparing for a live show is their anything you do to keep your throat / voice healthy?

Gallagher is mighty as hell, Som plujimers is also pretty cool, Åkerfeldt and Tomas Lindberg are also awesome. I usually take 1 shot of Jägermesister and 2 Prince 100's as warm-up, and it works rather well.

When you are not working on music or band business what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I study to become a high school teacher in English and Religion, so I don't have a lot of free time outside the band.

Well Daniel we have reached the end of the interview thank you for taking the time to fill this out. Do you have any final comments for the readers?

We are working on a new demo, so keep an eye on our pages. Our album is pretty much available everywhere, but please get it from Abyss so they can keep printing cool stuff! I should ask you to go to our facebook or some stupid shit like that, but since it's much easier to get a hold of your music in almost every other way possible, we prefer you do that. Facebook fans are for cunts, we hope to get a live audience instead. Remember to fuck shit up to good fucking music!
