My new band is tuning down to drop c. And i hate floppy strings. SO im using. 11 14 18 38 48 58. Theyre kinda tight. I just want to make sure their not gonna fuck up anything. Its an ESP V fender scale.

Adjust the truss rod accordingly to deal with the higher tension. It will almost certainly affect your intonation(not a whole lot, but you want this to be perfect for recording) and might cause some neck warping.

That sounds reasonable to me. Does your ESP have a Floyd Rose bridge?

Edit: Also yeah like somefella mentioned it is truss rod, not thrust rod. Great typo though.

I would advise going with something a lot lighter than 38 and 48 on the 4th/5th, I used 11-15-22-30-42-58 from drop C and while the third was a bit tight (which I wanted), those were a good match. Those two are way too heavy while the rest are just about right. ESP string-thru guitars come set up with 10-46 so if you replace those two with something more like what I suggested you may not need to adjust the truss rod since it's roughly the same amount of tension. Remember to intonate it!
