Black Destiny - Carnival of Fate

Like a way, way better Sabaton. Heavy and powerful.

Conception - The Last Sunset

The first two minutes completely are absolutely overpowering with its laid back, dreamy atmosphere. Definitely one of the best ballads the band ever came up with.

Summoning - Old Mornings Dawn

It's as grandiose and epic as I would expect from a Summoning release, and I'm loving what they have to offer so far. I'm definitely going to preorder this when I get the money.

The "o" and "a" on the keyboard... they aren't next to each other.

Inquisition - Astral Path to Supreme Majesties

I can't help but chuckle every time when it gets to that first "whoa" Dagon says after the first verse or so.

Cephalic Carnage - Xenosapien

One of Cephalic Carnage's better albums, along with Anomalies. Misled By Certainty was okay, but ultimately a disappointment compared to these two. This would be one of Cephalic Carnage's "straighter" albums; not as technical and complex as others, especially listening to songs like "Touched By an Angel."

Lol, so do I.

Encoffination - O' Hell, Shine in Thy Whited Sepulchres

The simplicity of the music really gets me hooked in here. It's pretty minimalist, and about as close to death/doom without really being doom. I like it and I hope for similar outputs by this band in the future.

I gave up long time ago.

Iced Earth- Burnt Offerings

This song is pretty heavy and brutal, I would even say Iced Earth's first 3 albums are heavier than most thrash metal bands.

Haha. Oh, wow, that was pretty bad.

Esoteric - The Maniacal Vale

Esoteric are kings. This album is one of the best, in my opinion, and especially the opening track "Circle," takes you on a great doom-ridden journey. Great album all round.

Been on a huge Graveland kick. Awesome, aggressive song from Fire Chariot of Destruction.

Sahg - Ascent To Decadence
I remember seeing these guys live ages ago and knew only one thing about them then - that King Ov Hell was part of the band. I've grown to appreciate them more over the years. Some decent doom (with stoner influences) for those who don't know.

Al-Namrood - Estorat Tghoot

LOUD production on this one, but it's backed up from some really authentic Middle Eastern black metal. I can feel the deserts of Saudi Arabia in this one, and it's great to see a good band from this part of the world come out and not only create quality metal, but do it in the face of adversity from their country. While their very early stuff was a little bland, this is where they've really stepped up, and their follow-up was quite good, too. I hope they continue making great music in the future.
