If you rip the CD is there still 'static' on the resulting files when you play them?

Got these 5 Saint Vitus CDs for only $22.99 (including shipping):

Saint Vitus - Hallow's Victim / The Walking Dead
Saint Vitus - Born Too Late
Saint Vitus - V
Saint Vitus - Die Healing, Looks to be the original German press.
Saint Vitus - Lillie: F-65, Digipack CD/DVD version.

Wow, pretty damn awesome deal if you ask me. I already had some of these, but I can just resell them and make at least some of my money back.

Yep, the tracks are slowed down as well when they're ripped...

You lucky guy you. I want the two disc edition I'm just waiting till I get paid again before I buy it. Are the bonus songs worth it?

Who am I kidding of course they are. I don't know what I was thinking.

Definitely. There's 11 total bonus tracks, 4 of which are live tracks which I don't really care for. Never been a fan of live albums/recordings really.

You could be like Jack Black in that 'Be Kind Rewind' movie ha ha ha

Haven't buyed some vinyl in a while but i'm very thrilled with this haul today:
Image

Toxik - Think This (Now I have both the albums om vinyl. If i could make a list of favorite bands this band would score very, very high.)
Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare
Blind Illusion - The Sany Asylum
M.O.D. - USA for MOD
Judas Priest - Sin after Sin
Judas Priest - Point of Entry

Not on picture. CD. Red Eyes - Obey The Beast (awesome dutch heavy metal. One of the best singers I've ever heard.)

The four thrash albums are all in almost mint condition.

Or this EP? I can never tell ha ha they have almost identical front covers!

Erk! it's Cenotaph? I'm sure I've seen it in this thread a few times recently

I saw a few other listings for the CD where sellers said that it doesn't work in all players. The CD itself is spotless with no disc rot or anything. Got it from an Amazon seller.

I'd love to get the vinyl as well. I asked Soleilmoon if they were going to reissue it but there's no plans currently.

Not one of those shitty 'print on demand' ones?
I'd email Amazon about it, maybe they cocked it up when they made the disc.

Marmer: aaah I see! that makes sense :nods:

From eBay, a seller from the same state as me too. No one else bid on them at all. It was kind of weird. Oh well, my gain. I'm pretty sure Die Healing has long been OOP, it's somewhat valuable.

I recently bought two albums at the same time, Stratovarius's "Nemesis" and Eternal Tears of Sorrow's "Saivon Lapsi". Both are very solid and powerful albums, marking an improvement on the same trends both bands have been following for a while now.

I have to say I had my doubts about having no lengthy epics in "Nemesis" like it was in "Elysium", but Stratovarius made an excellent job with their new album. I'm definitely for paying for it.

EToS, on the other hand, brought less heavy tunes this time, but "Saivon Lapsi" also witnesses the band experimenting with clean male vocals more often. It's not as death metal as it once was, but gothic metal fans like me may love it. I'd say the band has developed a sound very similar to that of Dark Lunacy before their "Weaver of Forgotten" catastrophe: high-quality gothic death metal.

The lastest one is RC´s last opus, not an impressive booklet but the cd is great as expected.

I would asko like to mention Caladan Brood´s digipack, truly an awesome artwork.

Two new CDs in the mail today:
Image

Title Fight - Shed
Mercyful Fate - The Beginning

I hate these sellers that don't mention a hole punch, but I got Shed for cheap so I guess it's not worth complaining. The Mercyful Fate, however, is in beautiful shape, so overall I'm very happy since that's the one I was worried about.

Does anyone have both the original pressing of Hell Awaits and one of the reissues? Because as soon as I saw "remastered in November 1993" I wondered if I had made the wrong decision buying one new from Amazon.
