I need to get more into these guys, I really love Fearless Undead Machines but I haven't heard all their stuff. King Fowley is the man.

MT, how long have you been collecting cassettes? I started getting into picking them up recently, and they're just awesome. Some albums are quite enhanced by the analog format in my experience.

Ummm...since around April 2012, maybe? I don't really collect that many since I don't really order that much from distros which stock them, plus they're not my format of choice so most of my cassette tapes are black metal albums which were only available on that format. They're fun in their own special way, though - a lot cuter than a CD or a vinyl record, and the sense of...compactness makes them rather endearing.

Yeah, I usually only get them if I see them at used stores or at killer prices online. Like these for instance:

Dismember - Pieces
Dismember - Indecent and Obscene

Also, cassettes make decent substitutes when the CD version of an album is too rare/expensive.

My Bloody Valentine-MBV

I just purchased the Vinyl/CD/Digital bundle. I had to have the vinyl (despite it being ludicrously expensive) because this album was allegedly produced from recording to mastering via 100% analog methods-this was meant to be heard on wax. And it comes with a CD.

The digital version was made instantly available while I wait for the vinyl to be shipped to me.

Nice, Faustcoven! What are your thoughts on this album?

Not an album, but I got my Wings of Metal ticket today and I bought a old 1 buck Darkthrone FOAD patch from Annick (Cauchemar)

I grabbed these on the weekend, I really need to shift some units before buying any more stuff :(
Check out my sale thread and hit me up if anything interests you guys

Cryptic Slaughter ‎– Money Talks [reissued, remastered, live songs etc I also have Convicted, sounds a bit like Cerebral Fix]
Damaged ‎– Purified In Pain [finally!!! I love this album, Terrorizer cover, odd guitar wizard stuff, Kevin Sharp, what's not to like]
Faith No More – Introduce Yourself [OZ original one but in the wrong case...]
Just One Fix ‎– Blood Horizon [excellent Kiwi thrash/death metal, selling accidental double up]
Stabbing Westward ‎– Ungod [US original, not bad, can't say I paid much attention to them when this came out]
The Fucking Wrath ‎– Season Of Evil [I had no idea how wicked these guys were! cool artwork too, can anyone confirm the catalogue number/matrix for this one for me?]
Various ‎– Spectrum Fest: Micro-Brewed Musical Artistry [Relapse Oktober Fest 1996 sampler] etc
Image

Cesspool of Vermin - Beastial Necrophilia ha ha ha that sounds really cool

One CD from eBay:

Ceremonium - No Longer Silent, Pretty awesome oldish death/doom band from NYC. Most definitely recommended for fans of the style.

Darkthrone- The Underground Resistance. Not overly impressed. I cheated and d/led it to listen to it once or twie and really liked it, but upon purchasing it, I'm finding it quite sub-par. Some great bits like the intro to Valkyrie but too much repetition of slightly unispired riffing. I'd give it about 70%.

Still, its Darkthrone, my collection is always thankful to have more of these guys...

It is! The whole thing's a lot more professional-sounding than the album cover would have you believe - rather subtle and restrained, but still precise and technical brutal death metal. :)
