Van Records page.

As a huge TRoB, I can't wait for this one. Everything Meilenwald does is absolute genius. And thanks Tony for cleaning up my original post :P

Lame thread, not even a mention of the name of the band... but since it's fucking TROB, I'll be cool and edit the title... Also poop jokes are lame or funny when you're 9 years old.

Just contacted the label, they said to expect it late April / early May, possibly sooner :hyper:

It took Crushed longer to respond to this than I expected. You're getting slow, mate!

That said, this will be another masterpiece of engulfing darkness.

MEILENWAAAAAAALD!

That's fucking great that they're releasing it so soon. I'm so stoked.

Time to blast Unlock the Shrine, Foulest Semen... and Rain Upon The Impure!

Best album of the year, and I don't need to even hear it to know that. Hear it I will though... Over, and over, and over....

That's great. I should admit, I'm not crazy about The Ruins of Beverast with the exception of the Rain Upon The Impure album - but I should check this out anyway. I hope the production will be a bit rawer again. Really suits the band much better.

Haven't been able to get into this band, sadly.. I'll keep trying though since they're/he's very interesting.

This is great news! Definitely looking forward to this. I'm not a frequent listener of this band but damn they got some brilliant material.

TRoB have only recently started to click with me, with their last album being the one I enjoy the most. Awesome to hear of new stuff, especially if it's a progression of the stuff on the last album. More super-triumphant sounding melodies, plz.

This band is so immense. Can't listen to them all the time, but when I do there are few acts more rewarding or haunting. Looking forward to this!

Heinrich Kramer, eh? Inquisitor who helped write an order to prosecute witches? This is going to sound awesome!

Unng. I'm ThRoBing.

Good to see that it's a double-disc... the vision expands even further, from letterbox to 70mm. Methinks this vs Blood Geometry will be the Godzilla vs. Mothra of our metal times.

Not sure that the album is double cd, it says CD/2LP. So a double vinyl, but probably a single cd.

Hint: it will be fucking awesome.

Oh god, yes. The Ruins of Beverast became my favorite black metal band pretty damn easily once I got into them (or him, rather). Excited for this!

Jumped straight to the top of my most anticipated list. Fully expecting another dark, monolithic masterpiece. Wondering if it will be a concept album of sorts.

The subtitle is The Blazing Gospels Of Heinrich Kramer, so I'd think so.

Great news, love this band. I hope the production is like "foulest elite" cause I found "rain" to be hard to listen to (ie too quiet and distant sounding) although I know some liked it that way

The guitar tone on Rain Upon the Impure is fucking menacing.

I don't know how you prefer to first listen to music, but I find sitting wrapped in a thick cloak and seated in a large throne carved by rain out of a long-dead trunk of a tree that grew from the side of an avalanche in an unmoving fog lit by an unearthly, constant gloaming while drinking a thick wine mixed with heady brandy to work very well for this kind of thing.

New Ulcerate and Immolation, and now new TROB. This is apparently the year for brutal, massive, majestic, unconventional metal.

Fuckin' A.

This just made my day. Kinda funny I just saw this thread, I was actually listening to Foulest Semen earlier today and was wondering when he was going to come out with a new one.

BUMP

AWESOME

Maybe it's only me, but it's a funeral doom song with almost no black metal elements, still totally awesome though.

Just as grand and menacing as ever. That organ section in the middle part with the creepy voice over is nothing short of sublime. So stoked for this album now.

Much lighter and easier to the ears than previous material, and not quite as intriguing either. It's excessively drawn out considering the quality and amount of the material. While it's good, if it's indicative of the quality of the rest of the album, it's not even going to compete with the first three.

sums up my thoughts, also agree its easier on the ears which is definitely a plus-point in my books - now just awaiting a release date!
