Saxon - Power & The Glory
Ratt - Out of the Cellar
Hanoi Rocks - Two Steps From The Move
Y&T - Mean Streak
Y&T - Black Tiger
Supertramp - Famous Last Words

Heavy metal (well, hard rock) haul from GoodWill - six hard rock records and not a single Englebert Humperdinck record this time (I've seen several thousand Engelbert records before finding these). $1 each, the Ratt one even still has plastic on it (that's a receipt stuck in there). In the edge of the frame is a Seagull SM6 that I got for $75 at the same store a few weeks earlier. Persistence and stopping by the store whenever I'm nearby pays off! A few of them are stamped as promos on the back.

I firmly believe that every single one of his fans died of old age and the same couple records of his are shuffled between different GoodWill stores every week.

I don't, they all died before I could hear what people had to say about them.

SKR restocked the first Arkham Witch album, so of course I had to make a small order:

Arkham Witch - On Crom's Mountain

I'm still obsessively trying to collect everything Simon/Lamp of Thoth related, so I was thrilled to see Tim had restocked the Arkham Witch debut. I'm not sure if it will be able to live up to the developed and super-catchy songwriting of Legions of the Deep. Can't wait to find out.

It's much better than the debut, IMO. Been looking for it for a while too, but I'm getting it directly from Black Goat. We ordered the debut a while ago from SKR but it was lost in the mail and then it was sold out.

I wonder if it's possible to find the Lamp of Thoth CD anywhere too.

How's White Medal? I've heard that name a lot but haven't heard any of their music. Furdidurke is really cool though, gotta get some of their tapes at some point.

I bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon last night; some metal, some not metal.

Adrenalin O.D. - The Wacky Hijinks of... Adrenalin O.D.
Captain Ahab - After The Rain My Heart Still Dreams
C+C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat
Ghost - Opus Eponymous
Graveyard - Graveyard
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Ratt - Ratt (EP)
Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters
Spice Girls - Spice

I listened through Operation: Mindcrime in one sitting earlier today, and I loved it! It was incredible.

They're great, fairly raw stuff but definitely not unlistenable, sort of punky and atmospheric at the same time. It helps that I have an affinity to Old English bm. Alone as Owt is a decent starting point but the material varies a bit and if you like it the guy behind it runs the Legion Blotan label which has some similar bands. You in particular may be interested in the mostly ambient project Satanhartalt.

got these yesterday:

Nick Oliveri And The Mondo Generator ‎– Dead Planet: SonicSlowMotionTrails [i have 3 of their albums now, this one being the least good]
Warbringer ‎– Worlds Torn Asunder [special edition digipak with a patch and download code, i quite like this nu-thrash]
Neurosis ‎– Honor Found In Decay [cardboard slipcase, it's not my cup of tea really]

un-metal
Frank Gambale - Live! [jazz fusion guitar, which i know now... if the rest of his band pissed off and left him to it i'd like it more ha ha]

not really too mainstream, but it's also the reason why I didn't immediately pick them up. I knew I could easily obtain them. I only paid 6 bucks a piece for new sealed copies.

i really need to pick up that Sluphur album pronto
