Can anyone explain what the genre "Depressive Rock/Metal is? Based on the word "depressive," it's obvious that it has some doom elements and is very grim, but this is a genre I have never heard of before until I saw Katatonia's later stuff listed as that.

Supposed to sound like a suicidal Thom Yorke or something :) Not a real tag in my opinion, but it includes gothic rock, post punk and alternative influences. Lifelover could be a good example of a depressive black metal band.
