http://fightthedemiurge.bandcamp.com/al ... he-archons (brutal death metal)
I've been working hard on my musicianship and production skills since I last popped up in this forum.
If anyone's in the mood for some brutality, hit up the links above.
If anyone feels like writing a review, (good or bad, i dont care as long as it's honest,) i have download codes for the Broken Anatomy release.
The Fight The Demiurge link is a free download.
Enjoy

Listened to the brutal death one... not too bad, I'm not particularly fond of the tone cause it's still pretty static-y messy and it ain't quite meshing with the drum samples. are you doubling up on your guitar tracks? if you aren't, you should and hardpan them left and right and that would thicken things up, not sure if there is bass. Aside from that pretty good job, vocals are spot on, so I wouldn't change that. The drums are kinda odd in a few spots for me... basically they don't seem to match up exactly to what needs to be played to the guitar. But I think with even a bit more spit and polish you would have something really nice on your hands. As is, it's a good demo. Son congrats. I'll check the funeral doom in a bit.

The funeral doom... yea that's fucking great. Reminds me a good bit of Catacombs. I can eat that up all day.

checking out the brutal death atm...
I really like it so far! especially your vocals. I actually almost really enjoy the production and guitar tone. but it is a bit too raw.

I'm fucking loving this funeral doom so far. although I dont like the logo. looks like you messed around with the brutal tooth font in photoshop and recognizing fonts always bothers me. but its not like that makes the music any less rad.
the only thing i think you really need to improve would be the overall tightness and the heaviness. it just isnt crushing me.
heed SLK's advice - double track them guitars and add some bass. make those riffs break my anatomy (har fuckin har). it would contrast great with those ambient passages as well.

and SLK, what exactly reminds you of catacombs? its way too fast hahaha

Also, that vocal recording pic confirmed what I suspected: SLK records shirtless in a sweaty caveman-like delirium. You can almost hear the man stink in the recordings.

the overall atmosphere, how far away everything sounds cavernous-like.

on the funeral doom band:
the guitars are nice now and then, but it all feels a bit predictable as well as structured. It does not really feel as if an atmosphere would have a chance to unfold -- I did not listen to all track, I turned off at some point.

I wasn't too into the funeral doom stuff... seems a little too "new wave" for my taste, as I'm much more into the old, lo-fi type.

Haven't listened to the brutal death metal though. Don't really like how you emphasized your gender either :/

Yeah, I probably shouldnt have emphasized it like that. *shrugs*

I'm glad you guys are liking some of the material or the other,
I'm working on Better production for Broken Anatomy on the new music I've been working on.
Working on new Brutal Death as well, and the production and structure of it is about a million times more massive.
Thanks for the feedback, all of you, I really appreciate it!

Fight The Demiurge
Good vocals, nice grooves. The drums should be more elaborate.
But really, do something about the guitar tone. All fizz and no chunk, blergh. No brutality in that.
