Epic wins.

The Marillion is the best thing I've heard this year (I've been on a admittedly fanboyish kick with Marillion these last couple of years, culminating with seeing them twice this year as well as the release of the album-so there might be a bit of bias there), but the Godspeed is very close-it'll likely be in my top 5 of non-metal for this year.

Marillion albums usually take a bit before they click with me; I was about ready to give up with Brave, until one day everything sort of fell into place. Sounds will most likely do the same, although I still can't see it toppling GY!BE and Sigur Ros' offerings. But third place ain't so bad.

What shop was that at? That kind of insanely inexpensive deal reminds me of Fame Music from Amsterdam, but I thought they closed up their doors.

Just bought Nick Drake - Pink Moon. Not very metal, though it's a great folk album if you're into that sorta stuff.

fuckin' aye man, what number is it? i got that bad-boy ordered in a few months ago :nods:

got these in the mail today from saxon1500

Immolation ‎– Here In After [us, promo]
Helmet ‎– Aftertaste [promo sampler, actually only has 1 song from this album, the other 3 are old classics]
Optimum Wound Profile ‎– Silver Or Lead [us version, original, awesome and even more metal [less industrial] than lowest common dominator]
Atrocity - Blut [german version, not bad, and with 15 songs is pretty good value]

akira is just a copy, not really my cup of tea but i know someone who will like it

re the sinister box set i recently bought
unfortunately this isn't very well made and is full of typos too, [ffs even the dvd menus have typos] this band deserve better.
i've had the thing out twice and it's already delaminating and the edges of the flimsy digipaks are showing signs of wear
i'm either going to copy all the cds or rip them and pack the box set away
someone else in here recently got it too but for quite cheap [secondhand] how is yours fairing?

Went to one of my favoured shops just yesterday: JB HI-FI (australia) and as there was a rather large sale on cds, dvds and the like I ended up getting Opeth's Blackwater Park and Suicidal Tendencies' 'original album classics' pack, including their re-booted self titled, 'How Will I Laugh Tomorrow', 'Controlled by Hate/Feel Like Shit', Lights..Camera..Revolution' and Art of Rebellion'.

Have loved Opeth for a couple of yrs so now that I finally own such a masterful album I doubt I will emerge from my room for days
