some bands are signed to different labels for different releases, at the same time... CD albums on one, 7"/12" vinyl singles and EPs on another, for example. which one should be listed as "Current Label" on the band page?

I noticed that band x may have released their last album on label y a while ago, they now put out an EP on label z, and they appear on label z's "past roster", which is quite misleading...

thanks for wisdom :)

I am pretty sure the "current" label should be the label they release full lenghts under and are otherwise payed by.
But fuck,I am not an expert.

The "current label" for a band page should be the label that the band is mainly under, if possible. It should not be the latest album label, unless you know for a fact that, that label is the band's label.

If there are multiple labels for a release, just put one in the label area, and the rest in the additional notes. Including multiple labels is on the list for future updates.

Example Manilla Road releases their CDs through one label - Shadow Kingdom - and all their vinyl through High Roller Records but the vinyl is licensed to High Roller by Shadow Kingdom. Shadow Kingdom is therefore their Current Label.
