as a download? I'm looking probably just for Chalice of Blood and maybe one other.

I have the original 1992 Cd. I've found a download of the 2008 version and I am looking for the 1999
so I can make a video comparing the how the sound varies among the three. I couldn't find any.

thanks

I have this version. I can rip the songs you want and email them to you, or give you a mediafire link.

If needed, I can rip it in lossless.

thank you, but i already got it from I Am the Law.
When I originally asked, I never even thought I would get a hyperlink pointing to a download, let alone 2 people offering me lossless rips. Amazing.

I've was toying with the three versions this morning. When I can do some more work on it, I plan on putting it on youtube comparing them. I'll post the results. They're pretty substantial.

You will. it's going to take me a little bit of time. I'm learning camstudio (video capture software)while trying to record the audio as lossless just as I hear it in my DAW reaper. If I have time and motivation, I plan on doing it for other albums, too, like Believer, Malevolent Creation, etc.

alright, here's a rough version. windows movie maker live wouldn't let me keep an audio bit rate of higher than 440 so I'm going to revamp this in the future after checking out other software.

watch in 1080 and full screen for a more accurate representation.

the second one sounded the best to me [1999]
you'll need a copy on tape and vinyl too, you know, for research purposes ;)

really? I though the original was a clear winner. I'm going to make this into a blog and maybe monthly i'll put up one or two selections, but in greater detail.

I haven't decided whether i'm going to give my opinion on the pros and cons of each release or not.

The problem with tape and vinyl is they need to be transferred to a digital medium and purists will never accept the results for that alone.

I am however going to try to monetize the site, and hopefully save up enough to purchase Izotope's RX2 which may be able to turn Malevolent Creation's Stillborn into a listenable experience.

remember though i'm listing to some shitty quality mp3s that have been further transcoded by you tube via the internet then played through my stereo system of unknown specifications...
if you used your own website or blog etc that you could use any file type with no further 'converting' [transcoding] you could use flac or wav files :nods:

i quite like how you did it too, but does your computer have a bit of a lag when the next segment starts? it seemed to stammer
maybe insert a 1 second silence or cut and paste them into one 'song'

when you say there is some lag, do you mean after the 1992 version going into 1999 one?
