I'm looking for death and/or black metal bands that play their songs kind of poppy sounding, and I don't mean popular, I mean literally the music they play pops. Djent (lol) is pretty much this style of playing non stop, with heavy bass slaps and drum bass. Imagine a death metal band with a djent kind of sound. I don't want any progressive or technical bands, just straight forward death/black. Sonne Adam is a good example of what I seek.

I'm not getting it. I love Sonne Adam but I don't know what you mean by them "playing pops." Can you name a particular song or part of a song where what you mean is the most evident?

Please don't use the term "djent" with Sonne Adam or death/black. haha Thanks.

What are you looking for, death/black with, thick/low end guitar tones? Not entirely sure what you're looking for, but try these:
If you like Sonne Adam, you'll no doubt like Disma
Antediluvian
Aosoth
Ignivomous
Vasaeleth

Not death/black, but Blood Red Throne - Brutalitarian Regime has some great bass tones laid down by Erlend Caspersen that pretty much make the album.

There are also bands like Aeon that have that gratuitous production and guitar tones.

It really depends on what you're looking for.

Hahaha, I'm sure he'll be all about Semargl. Pretty much the best BM band to ever exist.
