Burning Human - Resurrection Through Fire [pretty sweet death metal, with james murphy doing production 'and stuff' ]
Benümb ‎– Withering Strands Of Hope [yee ha, serious grindcore, i saw one of the nasum guys wearing a benumb shirt so thought i'd check them out]
Integrity ‎– The Blackest Curse [$2 hardcore cd sweet as, it's good too, pity about the STUPID packaging]
Generation ‎– Brutal Reality [original 1993 version, awesome industrial with some very ministry sounding samples
complete with 59 'no second' songs at the end... fun times, my cd player is going sik sik sik sik sik, which is also very ministry-like = dark side of the spoon has this too]
edit: i see they even call the hidden song at the end psalm 69
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Generation/Brutal_Reality/186063
and this song 'nothing to give' sounds like scarecrow!

i accidentally left some cds at the shop, spinal tap, metallica and terrorizer damn
fortunately i hadn't paid for them and they are just about to have a mammoth sale so i have to go back in anyway ha ha :p

I'm listening to For the Ruin right now and I'm really enjoying it. I had fun at the show today, but I'm still kinda jealous that you got to see Altar of Plagues.

I had trouble with Soundcave being slow when I made the one order from them a while ago. Probably not going to use them again. Although I would like that Darkspace.... :)

Only the one cd today:

Blut Aus Nord - 777 - The Desanctification

The artwork for this is great, and if it's anywhere near as good as the first in this trilogy, I will be in some serious rapture. Looking forward to immersing myself into it's labyrinthine darkness.

Nice, I ordered Satan Worshipping Doom and The Great Barrier Reefer but both on CD. I wish I ordered the Sex Tape/Snuff Film. Strapped for cash! Gah. Did you get the clear or grey 7"? Really want to get the Atma Vinyl. Sweet album and artwork.

METAL:

Cryptopsy-Cryptopsy

NON-METAL:

Marillion-Sounds That Can't Be Made

Sort of. I preordered the new Marillion in the limited "campaign edition" version (a handmade limited edition containing a bonus DVD) way back in April for a supposed summer release. That got pushed back to September. Then I got an email yesterday stating that the record will be delayed outside of the UK due to delays in the hand making of this limited edition. To compensate, they offered a digital copy to pass the time until it arrives.

I tell you want, I'm halfway through my first listen, and this is my album of the year. Easy. Regardless of genre. I was expecting this to be excellent, but this is simply blowing me away. This is exactly how prog rock should be done.

I found it a true return to form as in Whisper Supremacy. I highly recommend it. It's plenty of classic spastic death grind writing with clangy bass slapping through everything. I think matt did a good job with vocals and overall it's a good interesting release. Anyone who says otherwise really is just trying too hard not to like it.
